2 shiny and 1 normal. Was pretty crazy. Considering I only got two shiny Larvitar for the entirety of that community day, I'll take it!

 

I had about ten more I wanted to post but didn't want to over do it.

Ahh okay. I started using the Calc one yesterday. I'm not sure if it has a tracking system like that.

 

I didn't get a single damn shiny Larvitar, and only 2 shiny Charmander at the last one. Idk why Niantic lets me have great catches for stuff I don't normally care for, yet all the stuff I love I get stiffed on.

 

Gen 2 was 2/16/17.

IMO Gen 4 has the weakest starting trio, which doesn't set a good tone for the rest of the 'mons. After that, you get a good chunk of Pokemon that people actively dislike: Kricketune, Combee (male), Lopunny, Purugly, Skuntank, Probopass, and Lickilicky come to mind.

That being said, Gen 4 introduced some real staples to the series. Lucario and Garchomp are the obvious standouts, but Luxray, Gallade, Bronzong, Drifblim also come to mind.

I still haven't played through an entire Gen 4 game, but I don't know if I need to. That being said, I'll never not be excited about new Pokemon coming to PoGo. I have so many candies saved up for 'mons that get a new evolution in Gen 4. It'll be an XP field day when I get to evolve them.

 

Probopass is a top 20 poke for me. Dat mustache.

 

So yes, there will be a significantly longer gap. I suppose they could repeat the Hallowe'en event again, or put some gen 4 Pokemon in eggs (which would be logical given the number introduced in that gen) like they did with gen 2.

Semi-related: I wonder if they will bring in new evolution methods when gen 4 starts - not quite sure how they will introduce Glaceon and Leafeon otherwise.

So, I grinded like crazy today and put myself at about 3.3 million XP towards level 40. This was hands down the best event we have gotten so far in terms of XP.

As for gen 4 release I predict they will do something like they did with gen 2 and put the babies in eggs first and then will probably do a slow roll starting in October.

I think the level cap raise will come once they release gen 4 in “full.”

I just want PVP at this point.

Also, I’m really looking forward to the next global challenge rewards. I’ve got 30 Star pieces ready to go. Gonna go ham to power up some pokemon.

Just out of curiosity. How many Pokémon do you guys have that are fully powered up (those of us who are over level 38 of course). I currently have 9. It takes so much stardust to power these guys up. I really wish they still gave stardust when your dudes get knocked out of gyms.

 

I have a Tyranitar that’s maxed out at like 3650 xp. Other than that, nothing.

Yeah, it was wild. Now the question becomes, is it worth it to dump like 200k in Stardust into a level 15, shiny sunglasses Squirtle? Logic says no, but part of me kind of wants to. I wish dust wasn't such a valuable commodity!
