Nope, I golden razzed and ultra balled and he ran. I guess it's not meant to be! The crazy thing is, at the same time as I was missing this, a Chimecho popped up across town. Pretty crazy, I'd never seen either in the wild. I didn't have time to get to the Chimecho, but either way, pretty wild half hour of PoGo up here haha

 

Looks like gifts have been nerfed. I got two max potions in one, 2 poke balls and 2 great balls in another, and then another one just had 2 revives. Confirmed this on the Silph Road.

 

Trying to catch a Ditto makes me want to fucking throw this game (and my phone) into the nearest lake.

 

Good. I just got 5 ultra and an egg though haha

@oldboot I love that your Salamence is simply named Rob too haha.

 

He reminded me of Rob Zombie, not sure why hahaha. The only time I start naming my Pokemon is when I'm super baked, so I end up with some pretty stupid names

 

Got a Regice! Love having four gyms on my work campus and a nice little email chain.

 

I smoke a bowl at night and find myself checking IV's for an hour and then passing out all the time. It's like I know it's boring yet i'm too high to stop and then I crash. I've woken up with Go open and my phone at 1% before haha.

 

I usually just appraise everything if it’s a relatively high CP and then favorite the Pokémon if it’s above an 80% so I can look into it further on Poke Genie later when I get a chance.

 

I check everything because I am desperate for a 0%. Thousands and thousands of catches and the closest was 1/1/1 or maybe a 0/1/1.

 

Does anyone ever lend their phone to a friend for raids? We do this regularly in my town/slack group. Just had a friend take mine to go do two Regice back to back. This is the extent of my "cheating."

 

Damn, Unown running away is devastating.

 

I have one 0%. It’s a meditite. He’s my favorite to drop into gyms.

 

A couple of things:

Started off the day terribly with the failed Aerodactyl raid. But ended up getting enough stops to send everyone on my list a gift that hadn’t received one yet.

Also, got my first non-event shiny, Wailmer. My reaction was yesssss and pumping my fist in the air. Immediately followed by the thought “I wish it was a Magikarp.”

Caught a wild Kabutops, Dratini and Hariyama which was pretty cool.

I’m thinking they may have nerfed the gifts because I noticed the last couple that I accepted went down greatly on how many items I was getting.

The unown running away would have probably been enough for me to rage quit the game for a couple of weeks so congrats on being able to continue playing.

This game has become one of my favorite games of all time with the evolution over the last two years.

 

The closest I’ve done to this was wayyyy back when the game first started a Snorlax showed up right in front of my house so I caught him, signed out, signed into my friends account and caught him for my friend who had never gotten one before.

I don’t really think it’s “cheating.”

 

Checking IV’s is the one thing I do at the end of he day like clockwork at home since it’s just about the only thing you can do with the game at the house. I fall asleep a lot doing it as well. However, i enjoy it because organizing my Pokémon relaxes the shit out of me.

 

I literally just use them to get stardust from gyms. I try my hardest to utilize every single item I get from stops.

 

Yeah the gifts have been nerfed. I feel like it's always like that with this game. Something new comes out that is great at first and then it gets drastically nerfed a few days later so it doesn't give much anymore.

 

They should add single incubators to gifts. Like super rare or something.

 

I've literally been sitting for here for like 2 hours thinking, holy fuck, I'm never going to get an Unown so what's the point? I'm more of a dex player, so it suuuucks. That said, I agree about the game. All of the changes have been for the better and Niantic has definitely taken great care in building it. Plus, my dogs get miles and miles of walking they might not have otherwise. I really do love the game, I just wish I had caught the fucking Unown!!

 

There's still quite a bit of work Niantic needs to do in my opinion, but I do like that they are listening to the community. I wish I could just run the app in the background...

 

Well, I got an alolan Meowth in my first egg.

 

I'm glad the gifts got nerfed, the rewards were so stupid high. I had like 100 pinap berries, who the fuck needs that
