Well, you can't trade online, only locally so you still wouldn't have been able to get regionals...

 

My friend has a ton of Mr Mime so I'm just gonna get one from him when trading goes live and I'll have all original 151. Kinda seems too easy but whatever

 

I mean even the non-regional Pokedex though. For example, I probably would have had an Aerodactyl in a couple of months as opposed to two years. haha.

 

the stardust costs are pretty heavy, i would expect a slight overhaul making it easier to obtain. i play like crazy, rarely power up, and am at 617,000, which is my all-time high. can't imagine hitting a million in the current state of things

I don't either because I don't play with anyone ever lol. Except when I meet up with random people from Discord to raid.

 

i only play with people i raid with as well, but those people are v active players so we could help each others complete shiny collections and junk

 

Literally the only other person I know who plays PoGo is my girlfriend, which means that I don't have any five-star legendaries whatsoever, and only caught an Absol last community day.

 

Didn't it say something about giving "gifts" remotely to people via code? Sounds like you can't open the gifts yourself, so I guess those of us here who don't play with anyone else will be giving those to each other at least. haha.

 

i may be misunderstanding you, but the gifts can be sent from wherever to whomever - they have a postcard-like function that shows which pokestop the gift was spun from, and then you can send them to anyone in your friends list. i am unclear if you can only send/receive one total gift a day, or one per friend.

 

Yeah that's basically what I meant - none of us here in this thread have people to utilize the actual trading function with (in person), but as a consolation, we can give each other gifts. haha.

Edit: Yeah, apparently you can give out 7km eggs or something.

 

I think the only thing I’ll be doing with trading is trying to get regionals.

Edit: also, I hit 39 today. On the long road to 40 now. And, I randomly put an incense on at my house in hopes of some shellders showing up and got a 2309 Snorlax with a 93% IV rating. That’s was pretty cool.

 

Finaaaallllyyy got my Mew, 83% too so not bad! Only about 10k away from lvl32 also. Good day!

 

got a second shiny Kyogre today! 89%. six total Kyogre raids, two shinies, p nuts. i didn't say anything to my raid group because two of them were at 30+ attempts and no shiny and i don't want to be stoned to death.

i'm mostly just excited to have a real bargaining chip for when trading comes around

 

Wanted to drive around and play this today but I missed my window of opportunity cuz now it’s just way too fucking hot outside

 

This is crazy, i'm at about 10 raids since Kyogre came back and I haven't gotten a shiny. No shiny for the water event either.

 

it's my first shiny legendary, i did 10+ on Lugia and 15-20 on Ho-oh with no dice. RNG is cruel!

 

I didn't get a shiny Ho-Oh either, but my friend who I play most with got a boosted 96% shiny Ho-Oh on like his third raid for it. Super jealous, i'm pretty sure that's one of the rarest things i've seen in the game yet.

 

Any speculation on the next community day pokemon?

 

game needs shiny squirtle and shiny squirtle needs to have sunglasses like the squirtle squad

 

Hydro Cannon was datamined out of the new update, so Squirtle seems a lock

 

considering the recent Kanto starter community days I would say that would mean squirtle for sure. A shiny Poliwrath could be cool though. Or Feraligatr.

 

Happy with that since my only Blastoise is bad lol

 

Squirtle would be a disappointment after this water event. I feel as if I've seen a ton of them lately (along with the other two water starters), so I don't really need any more. Give me a Ralts Community Day.

It would also be cool if they made it a Piplup CD and used it as a way to introduce Gen 4, but that's highly unlikely.

 

It’s gotta be Squirtle, right? Is there anything other than Blastoise that can learn Hydro Cannon?
