Yay for Zapdos. Aside from two regionals and Articuno next month, that damn Aerodactyl is the only thing I'm still chasing to close out Gen 1.

The other gens and getting shinies in the meantime has been fun, but actually completing something in this game is still my main goal. I honestly don't think I'll still feel like playing after Gen 1 but who knows.

 

Just got my first Ex-Raid pass. Are they exclusively Mewtwo? And how many people are needed? I don't have friends that play, and would hate to go it alone if I can't win.

 

I did one where we were 5 (including a kid) and we beat it with some time left. Ultimately, it depends on the attacks he has. My best advice would be to be there at the time it starts. Around here, there's always a big group of people that do it when the egg hatches.

 

I was worried about this too. We tried it right as it was available and almost got it with 5. Then about 15 more people came and we beat it in no time. I think the bulk of the people coordinated on Discord on the start time so you might search around for that.

Otherwise, I think you'll be surprised at how many people will show up. It's fairly rare to get a pass and then even rarer to catch him, so people will always participate.

haha, shit I have never really actually looked at the pokemon's name, I always have said it as Bed-lam, oops! I only learned about Gen 3 from this game, so I still mess up a lot I'm sure

I just found that out this weekend, I've been tossing out field research items like crazy trying to get that one. haha. I can't seem to catch a break with this particular Pokemon so who knows if I'll actually get it.

It would be great if you could use your own ultra balls for Mewtwo.

 

I'm convinced that the level cap being raised is coming sooner than we might think. I've only been a level 38 for a little over a week and am already at almost a million xp (3rd of the way). It's definitely a lot easier to get xp now than it was before. Honestly, those players that hit 40 within the first couple of months are insane. Even spoofing wouldn't have helped to level up THAT MUCH.

Or maybe I've just gotten to a point where I know how to fully realize lucky eggs. I pretty much only use them during events at this point, but there seems to be a new event every other day lol (which I'm completely okay with).

 

I know that there are still people in this thread who haven't gotten Mew yet, but I am so ready for a new Special Research objective.

 

I try to play as much as I can everyday - but between work, a newborn, my dogs, and my lady - it's just hard to fit time in. I still need the legendary that's out now though I know today is the last day. Probably will have to get it when it gets released in a field study or something.

 

I'm waiting to evolve my Wailmer and Swablu until the next Special Research is announced. I don't want to evolve them now and then have to gather 400 more candies to complete a research.

 

A lot of people are saying this in various FB threads and forums, has there been any hinting that another pokemon is going to be released as a special research or is this all purely speculation at this point?

 

Purely speculation but if another special research is announced it will be Celebi.
