I figure if ya want em, why not want the best ones? Plus attack and defense stats matter for ones I choose to use dust on when it comes to taking down legendaries.

I also got my 7th 100% today. A 1559CP Rhyhorn.

 

i wouldn't normally care about shinies or IVs (i have literally never checked an IV in the history of my playing main series Pokemon games), but in a game with so little to do, it's something to chase

 

It's a minor inconvenience, but man I wish there was just a "stats" tab or something so I didn't have to click through the appraisal thing every time and then use third party apps or a tab in safari to check it. haha.

 

Man before Niantic went hardcore on players who were spoofing "IV Go" was the best app ever. I don't know if any of you used it, but it was literally just sign into your Pokemon Go app through their app and it would just rate them. Since they started cracking down on spoofing it hasn't worked and now I've bee forced to go back to appraising, transferring the crappy Pokemon, taking a screenshot, closing the app, opening the Poke Genie app, scanning the picture, getting the IV, then closing the app, opening pogo app back up and then attaching the IV to the pokemon. It takes so much more work now than it used to. I'm such a baby, but I really wish they IV Go app would just start working again. Also, IV Go was so much more accurate than the Poke Genie app.

 

Also, sorry for the double post, but I have a theory floating around in my head and I want to see if anyone else can corroborate it. I have noticed an absolute influx of Wailmers over the past couple of days (like as much as Magikarp have been around since Special Research started) and I have a feeling that people may want to start hoarding Wailmer candies for the next Special Research. I think he's gonna be the next "400 candy" pokemon we have to evolve for special research. Has anyone else noticed an influx in Wailmers in their area or is it just me?

 

Well, as of yesterday they are appearing more for the Earth Day rewards event. There's more earth, grass and water Pokemon appearing for that.

 

has anyone else noticed a lingering high volume of Kanto stuff since the event? it's still 80% of what I see, feels like.

 

I'm seeing tons of Wailmer, Corphish, and Carvanha; which is awesome since I never see them normally. I caught a wild Feebas today as well, which was a first for me (I hatched 5 so far).

 

def seeing a lot of these as well. also a lot of Remoraid, who i previously had only seen once.

 

Ah, I see what you're talking about. I initially misread the announcement and thought they were saying that earth, grass, and water types were the pokemon that would be giving 3x stardust.

 

Yeah those are the types that give the stardust boost. I don't remember if they actually said they'd be increasing spawns for those types in the announcement, but they definitely have because I'm seeing tons of those types now. Way more than normal.

 

Okay, well that makes more sense than my theory. Was hoping that maybe I was on to something lol. I think I'm just really ready for them to start the special research again. I'm kind of bored with the game again. I'll probably take a little more time completing the next special research to be honest. Just to drag it out a little bit.

 

Yeah they have increased the spawn of those types and also there's shiny Wailmer now.

 

Larvitar have been spawning around town. More than usual for sure the past day. Pretty awesome.

 

Partly cloudy is still hands down my favorite weather. Larvitar, Slakoth, Snorlax (occasionally), Geodude, and Rhyhorn are my jam.

 

Got these two in back to back encounters yesterday afternoon while sitting at my desk at work (the only way you'll ever have 100% battery while playing this game).

 

Shiny Wailmer is my dream omg, the only shiny I've ever cared about.

I only have two shiny Magikarp at this point

 

I wasn't even aware it was available. I nearly had a heart attack when it showed up.

 

I think Swablu/Altaria is the only non-event shiny I've gotten (also got the Mareep and Pikachu shinies). Really bummed I missed Dratini during community day.

 

Man, I'm hoping maybe tomorrow they announce a new Special Research task considering it'll be a month since Mew research started. Wishful thinking I know, but one can dream.

 

Going from St Louis to Tulsa to Atlanta the next couple of days...hoping to do some work at the airports and in between work obligations.

 

So the past few days I've gone out for walks and my GPS is all sorts of messed up. It doesn't show my avatar walking for awhile and then jumps all around the area I'm actually at. It will show me a few blocks ahead or a few streets over or in a field. Really annoying.

HELL YES.

I'm one of the people who can very rarely participate in raids, so these have been a godsend. I've never stopped playing the game consistently, but all the quests and stuff have reenergized my interest for sure.

Though I still need a goddamn ditto
