The raids are cool and all, but I mean it's not something I'm going to sink a lot of time into trying to get. I can solo Aerodactyl's to be honest so I got a few from when they were around the first time and I've always had good luck with Snorlax so I really don't need anymore. I really hate that they are making me consider "cheating" so I can finish out my Pokedex. They gave us one regional "switch" from gen 1 in 2 years. They either need to do another event where they have them available everywhere or introduce trading. That's really been one of my only gripes in the game in recent memory.

 

The double candy thing will be a handy tool in stocking up on magikarp. I still need like 100 more for the research.

Also - is it just assumed that when a certain spawn type is boosted (this case being gen 1) that egg hatches of that type increase as well?

 

i know that most in here don't much care for shinies, but if kanto shinies are rolled out for the event that will be enough to keep me hunting around for a few days. they're kinda dumb but it's another wrinkle and another reason to tap on those Pidgeys lol

 

Maybe I'll finally get a Charizard during this event lol

I hardly ever see the fire-type starters

 

I need a damn Lapras. Only Gen 1 I'm missing besides regionals and Mew/Mewtwo.

 

I want shiny Charizard. He looks so awesome!

Already don’t like this event. I have more than enough gen 1 stuff

 

Most of us should have Mew by the end of this event with Karp buddy candy being doubled.

 

Magikarp ain't a problem for me since I have 600 candies. I just need ghosts.

 

Don’t know how I didn’t know about this thread but glad to see it exists! I play a ton and I am pretty bummed with this event. No shiny confirmations and my gen 1 dex has been complete except for regionals for like a year and a half. If they announce a catch challenge bringing regionals everywhere to coincide with Mew that would be amazing. Really hope to see “151” in my dex soon.

i need machamp and hitmonlee and mew to complete non-regional/x-raid pokemon. i've never been able to take down a machamp raid alone and nobody goes to raids anymore unless theyre legendary, i almost dont know why they bother doing raids that arent legendary. have gotten 24 new machamp candies since this event started this afternoon so confident i'll get that champ by the weekend.

BUT I WANT MR MIME. and I guess khangaskhan.

edit: I now have a machamp lol

 

Gen 2 and 3 only seem to be existing in previously existing nests, everything else is Gen 1

 

They are still spawning, just at VERY reduced rates. I saw a Taillow a little while ago.

Also, double candy for hatching and halved buddy distance is way better than anything else for me. I’ll be doing a lot of walking.

 

Hopefully this event does some wonders for me on my Magikarp progress. I'm still over 300 behind on my quest to evolve one for a Mew.

 

Sadly it's not halved buddy distance AND double candy, just double candy

 

Its halved distance, i only have to walk .5km to get a karp candy

 

Hmm... my Bedlam still says 5km

Karp candy acquired. Also got a shiny Swablu today. Need 6 more ghosts.
