- Currently sitting a little over halfway through 37
- Looking at this list of Pokemon I'm missing from the current dex makes me really hope that they are eventually gonna do a "regional day" for one of the community days.
- I'm on tier 5/8 for Mew so I should have one by the end of this week. (I have a feeling the hardest thing is going to be finding a Ditto.
- Waiting for Ho-Oh to either come back in a raid or hope that it can be one of the legendary Pokemon you can obtain through the Field Research.
- Still collecting candy for Blaziken, Luciolo, Pelipper, Salamence, and Metagross. Hoping to have a Latios by the end of this week (missed him on my first attempt.
- Got shiny versions of Altaria and Dragonite, but really want to get a shiny version of all the available Pokemon that currently have shiny variants. Missed my chance for Lugia which was kind of a letdown seeing how many people in my raid group get one.
- I feel pretty good about my progress in this game considering I've only put about 30 bucks into it at this point and I have never used any apps for spoofing.
- I think once I hit 40 I'll probably only open the app to complete the dex when new generations pokemon are added or during events.
- Hoping for an unown event at some point as well considering I've never even seen one in the wild and there are so many variants of it.

However, I really like the research. It's been great to play the game with a sense of purpose for the first time in almost 2 years. It always just felt like grinding before the newest update.

 

Was so stressed about the Ditto part of the questing and just got one in a dirty little Ratatta!

 

I'm at 4/8, I only need to walk a Magikarp for 5 km before 5/8.

 

I can see a park from my house and the pokestops there are like shrunken down. When I click them it says "This Pokestop is currently closed". First time I've ever seen that. Though that park is gated and closes at dark so that would make sense.

 

It's relatively new and yes, coincides with closed times at locations

 

pretty excited to see what encounter comes out of the 7 day box tomorrow

 

Some people already know since they used a time zone trick to get their last stamp. I'll leave you the surprise!

Saw some people raiding at my workplace a little while ago. Sucks that I couldn’t join them. But at least now I know people do raid here.

 

joining my local discord has been a godsend for raids. got two latios today from people in discord doing a headcount to see if it was worth the trip. it's super funny as well because i work for the state, so seeing all of us dressed up all nice spilling out of agency buildings to congregate in a circle and tap our phones is always amusing

 

Well that was a super fun surprise this morning! I love how Niantic is catering to solo players who may not raid.

 

my 7 day reward didn't have the best stats but i missed when it was initially around so i'm happy with the dex entry

however i ran into a perfect Latios this morning and didn't catch it despite TWO excellent curves with a golden razz. h8lyf.

 

catching all these jobbers hoping they're a ditto is scarring me mentally

 

Yeah, this is probably going to be the hardest tier towards getting Mew (especially for "pure" players that don't use other apps to aid in finding certain Pokemon). Finding 10 ghost types and finding a Ditto seem like they are going to be impossible to accomplish.

 

Ditto is on the 5th tier right? That's gonna be the toughest one for me with Ditto AND the 10 ghosts.

 

Giving an honest effort at trying to knock out all of these research tiers, but man, seeing everyone else advancing so quickly makes me realize how little free time I have. Hoping once summer rolls around I'll be able to get out and about on weekends a bit more. The little success I've had with this game has mostly taken place on the trails.

 

Ditto is easier than you'd think, they're more common now. And there are most ghosts at night now as well.

 

ghosts have been a breeze for me but ditto has been cruel disappointment
