You'll get 6x XP for catching Bulbasaur. Imagine if it applied to everything, I'd be doing so many legendary raids in those hours.

I’ll probably pop a lucky egg every thirty minutes and catch nothing but Bulbasaurs for the entire time. Should be able to get to a level 37 by the end of the event.

I still think Bulbasaur is an underwhelming choice for this, especially after Dratini. Even the shiny variant isn't great.

I think Dratini was almost too rare of a Pokémon to do for community day because now everyone will expect top level Pokémon for every community day. They’re trying to do this every month, I don’t think we should expect really good Pokémon with special moves every month.

It will almost definitely include every Pokémon, not just Bulbasaur, so I’m actually going to go for other Pokémon for the most part since Bulbasaur are so hard to catch. I’m sure I’ll still catch plenty though.

Yeah I think they shot themselves in the foot with Dratini, especially by putting it so early after introducing Community Day. They should have gone for 3-4 times with less stellar Pokemon like Bulbasaur and Pikachu so people would build their expectations around those types of Pokemon, and then put Dratini. Now it was more like "Yeah Pikachu was nice for the first one since he's the most well known Pokemon, but now it's getting real with Dratini! Can't wait for next month... Oh it's Bulbasaur..."

Also, shinies in these events just lose their appeal after you start seeing them in every gym a couple hours later. I'm still jealous at people who have a red Gyarados because Gold Magikarp are rare, but even if I didn't already have a shiny Dragonite it would be hard to be jealous when you see one in a gym since most people got one anyway, so they're not that special.

I haven't evolved another Gyarados yet after my first 2 because I so badly want to make sure I have the candy ready for a shiny Magikarp.

lol me too, I'm hoping that big park in my city becomes a Magikarp nest again to go catch a lot of them. It was one at the end of the summer, but I realized it too late. Then it became one again a month ago, but got replaced immediately by the "gen 3 spawns only" event.

The only "nest" in my area spawns like 3 maybe in an hour. It's not as efficient as other areas. For instance this big park in Colonie called The Crossings (tagging @Shrek in case he ever is near there) is a huge nest with like 30 spawned at a time. It's where I got my 100% iv Charmander while it was a nest.

Yeah we have a lot of parks around here. There's a lot of small parks that are nests, but only spawn like 3-5 Pokemon an hour, then we have 2-3 bigger nests that will spawn around 20-30 Pokemon an hour, and we have the Plains of Abraham that are just one big nest, but the Pokemon that spawn there are generally useless.

The crossings was recently an Aron nest. Pretty mad I didn't make the trip up for a day during that timeframe.

Friend of mine just posted in Slack he got a 96% shiny Mawile from a raid. Very jealous.

I was glad that Kyogre was back because I could get a decent one, but all the many raids I could get to were either Groudon or Rayquaza... Just when I couldn't raid anymore, patches of 2-3 Kyogre started appearing everywhere.

    So assuming that this weekend...

I did a few raids this weekend with a group of people who drive around my neighborhood of west Los Angeles raiding. At one of the raids we hit the gym with just a minute to go in the raid. I dropped a Premium Raid Pass, but while we were in the lobby waiting my game crashed and I had to restart the app. By the time I got it going again the raid time was over and I wasn't able to rejoin.

I emailed Niantic about it and they replaced my Premium Raid Pass. They took care of it in about 5 hours. Thanks, Niantic. I appreciate the quick help.

    Trainers,

The dust has settled on our legendary week of Raid Battles, and the ancient Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza has proven victorious! So from March 5 to March 16, Pokémon that prefer windy weather will hatch more often from Eggs.

But that’s not the only place you’ll see weather-enhanced Pokémon. Raid Battles at Gyms near you will also favor appearances by Pokémon that prefer windy weather. Plus, enjoy double XP until March 16—a special thanks for all of your enthusiasm and hard work!

In need of Premium Raid Passes? Don’t forget that special boxes containing them will be available in the shop until March 11.

Although Kyogre and Groudon have left for now, you can continue to challenge Rayquaza in Raid Battles until March 16! Get the most out of hatching, catching, and battling during this limited time.

    Stay safe, and happy exploring!

I haven't found one yet. It's going to be a long trek for a Salamence.

It's fitting though, since I remember searching for hours in my Pokemon Moon play-through for that 1% chance encounter with a Bagon super early in the game.

It's a shame that all the Windy Weather pokemon I'm interested to get are in 10 km eggs.

Incubators are the only thing I spend my coins on, aside from a storage upgrade every few months. They’re worth it IMO. Many Pokémon I love that I have were from hatches.
