I get where you’re coming from, and I have no complaints about the luck I’ve had catching raids. But with that said, I don’t hate the concept of keeping some very rare. Like for me, I know the day I get Unown or Mewtwo I’m gonna have some serious delayed gratification. At the same time, I don’t feel that for the regionals I know I don’t have a shot at. So I think they should implement the catch challenges like they did with farfetch’d more often.

 

My EX Raid is coming Monday, but I fear we won't be enough to complete it. We have an event on Facebook and right now we are 6, but I keep hope that we will have more people who are not on the Facsbook group who will come.

 

I kept seeing people on Reddit say they love the exclusivity of the regionals because people like having things other people don't... You know how little I care that I have a Tauros and people in Asia don't?

Got one this morning with crap IV’s pretty easy to beat though.

 

I know this is a relative question, but how rare is Hariyama in comparison to other things? I just caught one and he's like the size of Snorlax on the screen.

 

As a wild version, pretty rare, but his unevolved version is mid-common

 

A couple of days with my new phone and it's great. Not a lot of new Pokes showing up but the weather has been varying between windy and extreme.

Only thing is that battery saver mode doesn't seem to work. Not really sure how to fix it either

 

It's not that rare when there's cloudy weather. I've had one appear at my job and one that was nearby at another point. I had to throw like 15 Pokeballs to hit it once because it was reeeaaaally far.

 

Shows how much I know. I didn't even realize he was an evolved version of something. haha. But yeah, the cloudy weather yesterday made him spawn for me (first fighting type of seen from the weather) and it was so hard to hit him with the ball. I think I captured him the first time I made contact though.

 

I'm officially into the realm of Pokemon games I never played. I only played gen 1, gen 2 and sun. Some of these are pretty cool.

Also, I caught my first 0% IV rating pokemon ever yesterday. Usually, I just trash anything with less than a 70% rating, but for some reason I feel inclined to keep my first pokemon with a 0% rating.

 

I’ve caught two Hariyama’s in the wild so far.

 

I need this cloudy weather to spawn a Hitmonchan already.

I am surprised (but kind of not) that I still don't have a Hitmonchan or Aerodactyl lol but I guess I missed the legendaries so getting all of Gen 1 isn't a realistic possibility for me anyway.

 

Yesterday, I did a Groudon raid and caught it (even though it was really far so it was tough to hit with the balls). I spun the gym and got a 5km egg. Today, I went to my Mewtwo raid near the same place I did Groudon yesterday. When I arrived, my egg hatched and I FINALLY GOT A FRIGGIN MAGBY. Then we did the mewtwo raid. We were 6 and beat it with a quarter of the time left. Much easier than I thought. I had 8 balls and caught it on my 4th ball. It was a nice couple of days!

Mudkip is actually the first Gen 3 I encountered. I've seen another Mudkip since then, a lot of Torchics and I've hatched a couple Treeckos.

 

I'm surprised I haven't caught more than one Treecko. Every time I open the app I'm surrounded by Bulbasaurs and Chikoritas and about 50% of the time there is an Ivysaur, too.

 

I have seen a lot of Torchic, I have 80ish candies. 3 or 4 Treeko no Mudkip.

 

Only 2 Treecko so far for me

 

I find myself looking forward to fog due to the ghost and dark type pokemon that show up (Larvitar is mostly what I'm looking for.

Needless to say, I was a little annoyed this morning when it was foggy as hell outside, but it was saying it was cloudy instead of foggy so there wasn't more ghost and dark type pokemon outside.

 

It's both foggy and rainy here, I'm about to find out which overrides which

I think I was mostly annoyed because it wasn't raining. I can understand one overriding the other, but it wasn't even raining outside.

 

I need both fog (for ghost/dark) and rain (for electric) so getting cloudy is such a slap in the face haha

 

I've seen two Larvitar show up on my radar this week (at the same stop, no less) but both times, he never spawned when I got close. It was strange, but I feel like my app takes 30 seconds to start working every time I open it.
