Only 2 more candies until I get my Togetic anyway so BOOOO to that idea.

I will have walked 78km to get to 50 candies too, so I'm the kind of douche that hopes everyone has to graft that hard to get Togetic lol.

 

Just caught a 1977CP Scyther in the wild. Average IV's though. Also caught a 1900 Granbull yesterday and it was a new pokedex entry.

What's yalls favorite event they've done so far and why? I think mine is the one they did for Gen 2 with lures that lasted like six hours, because I just camped out within distance of three stops and racked up all day long.

 

The only good ones were the free incubators and the faster buddy distance. Everything else is lame.

 

Yeah that gen2 release day with the 6-hour lures was my best ever day playing this game. All the events have been ok IMO but I don't really change the way I play the game just for the events. If faster buddy distances comes back I will specifically go out walking to get some candies for sure!

Edit: Also, I missed another wild Snorlax today 'cause I was pooping, coincidentally on the same porcelain throne I was sat on when I caught that wild Lapras that one time! "lightning" did not "strike twice"

 

Double XP, wider variety of pokes in 2km eggs, more candy from hatches and 50% off lucky eggs in the store.

 

2km eggs.... I see you Niantic.

 

It's a shame incubators aren't also on sale

 

Wow this event will be useless to me unless I buy incubators with real money.

Yeah. You should get the extra candy for them still. I just started a 10k yesterday answer it will probably take me half the event just to hatch that. I guess if it's a dratini or mareep with 50 candies I'll be happy.

 

Yeah, I'm just not going to hatch anything until 4PM

 

Also, now that they fixed the dates, you can select the eggs that you receive after the event starts to incubate first.

I need some sort of event to help me get a Dragonite, Aerodactyl, and Hitmonchan so I can finish out Gen 1. I legitimately haven't even hatched a Gen 2 Pokemon yet, so my plan of hatching a Tyrogue has not been as fruitful as I had hoped. haha.

 

I just selected my only 5K left from 2016 yesterday, so I'm holding out a little bit of hope for this event. I need to go take four gym spots so I can get another incubator today, haha. I'm hoping my 10K going is a Dratini. That would be incredibly helpful with double candy.

 

I have a 10km with 8 on it.... praying for a larvitar or mareep, haven't seen one yet

 

lmao, bro that is SO harsh! And I though I was hard done by on a 60/40 gen1-gen2 hatch ratio I do buy incubators though so I'm guessing that helps me a lot compared to others ITT.

 

Yeah the one incubator at a time life is such a struggle for this game. Especially when half the time your precious egg you incubated all week is a Krabby.

 

What time does the event start?

Also, will I still get at least double candy from the eggs I already have?

 

Hatched Mareep and Togepi yesterday. Sitting at 191/204. Very hopeful I can get rid of a lot of eggs today. I am fully stacked currently :(

Thanks. I have been doing this thing where I've been collecting coins from gyms to buy incubators and was trying to collect nine 10k eggs so I could start walking them all at once, but I only have 6 so far, but not I'm just gonna go ahead and start incubating them and get that double candy.

I almost don't even want to open my app right now because I have a 5k and 2k egg super close to hatching and I would like to get the double candy for that as well considering I'm not even close to getting a porygon2.

 

I'm basically in the same boat. Not playing until as close to 4 as possible today.
