Individual values. Basically every Pokémon isn't created equally. So a 420CP Pidgey with 100% IV's will be stronger than another 420CP Pidgey with 60% IV's. There's more to it than just that but that's the most basic way to explain it. And if you don't care about gym battling than the point is moot

 

Can you imagine how many perfect pokemon I've thrown in the trash? Think about that just for a moment

I have just started battling gyms again and it is kinda cool after not doing it for so long. Having max revives once you get to level 30 is very helpful too. I'm also obsessed with IVs now too and will only evolve pokes that are 80% and above!

 

I battle gyms for coins to get more incubators. Pretty much the only reason I do it.

 

Got my second item, another sun stone haha. Don't have enough sunkern yet but nice to have it

 

Blisseys have thrown a huge wrench in gym battling. I can't wait until they rework the broken system.

 

So I finally just tried doing a mass evolve using two phones. Evolved about 126 Pokémon with six minutes to spare.

 

And then realized you forgot to turn on a Lucky Egg.

 

This would have been my hell

Half way to level 30!

 

So level 15?

 

I had a feeling someone would make that joke haha. Excited to use my first hyper potion!

 

Are Slugma in any way rare/cool at all? Just got my first one - 100% IV hatch from a 2km egg! It said it HP, attack and defense were all great and it was XL in height so I knew I was onto something! Now to just find a 100% IV female Eevee for my Espeon (cuts to me, 75 years later in an urban wasteland after the "space wars", with the app out still waiting for said Eevee)

 

They're pretty rare around here. I think I've caught three or four but I was pretty lucky to have even caught that many.

 

Extremely common here.

I'm surprised that although I don't see a ton of diversity in Gen 2 here somehow I have all but one of the 10k group

 

When you bust your ass to hatch a 10km egg and it's a Mantine, then you catch one with higher CP/IVs literally 30 seconds later

 

I've seen one Slugma. Must be the weather lol.

I've caught something like 60 Swinub. Maxed out its CP even though it will be of no use until gen 4.

Up to 150 Murkrow candy. Another one that won't matter until gen 4. And I'll probably never get the item to evolve it anyways. Midreavous will also get priority there.

 

I only need 4 pokemon from eggs - Smoochum, Giraffarig, Miltank and Mareep. Got a feeling I'll be waiting a while for the latter 3...

 

Have not caught a single Swinub. Only saw one and it ran after the first throw.

Caught a 1350 Rhyhorn this morning and immediately evolved it. 83% IV's. Moveset: Mud Slap and Stone Edge. Pretty satisfied.

 

Swinub is the only pokemon I've ever had to use a nanab berry on - so fucking annoying how they scurry around all the time. Will never bother catching one ever again!

 

Found an Omanyte nest yesterday too, got my first one there. Will be hitting it up every day until the next nest migration for sure.

 

Have yet to see a cyndaquil, larvitar, mareep, phanphy or houndour

 

Never seen a Slugma or any other Fire type.

Edit: attachment seems to have failed but it's three swinubs at once. Disgusting things.

 

Was going to ask if anybody ever uses nanab berries and for what. I've never seen anything act any differently

 

I think nanab keeps them from bursting out as easy too, yeah?
