Are there any other Gen 1 Pokemon that evolve into something in Gen 2? So we know what candies we should be saving?

Slowpoke (evolves into Slowking)

Zubat (evolves into Crobat)

Eevee (evolves into Espeon and Umbreon)

Horsea (evolves into Kingdra)

Porygon (evolves into Porygon2)

Scyther (evolves into Scizor)

Chansey (evolves into Blissey)

Onix (evolves into Steelix)

Oddish (evolves into Bellossom)

Just got Farfetch'd last night. So again back to no reason to play except to walk Togepi to a Togetic. Also, someone mentioned this earlier but like 75% of the time the game loads to a frozen screen.

Also, yes I spoofed because there was nothing left for me to do in this game. In my defense I didn't spoof until after I got every 1 possible the right way. But since they haven't done gen 2 the only fun thing I could do was spoof across the country and grab the regionals.

 

Do you think there will be nickname tricks for evolving into Espeon and Umbreon like there was for the other 3? (e.g. Sparky, Rainer, Pyro)

 

Yeah I'm at 151. Having spoofed the regionals i needed. Same place as you, only 2 candies away from Togetic so I'll get him today or tomorrow. Also need 2 10KM eggs (Elekid and Magby)

But now I'm going to start the buildup to Gen 2. Gathering all the candies I need for future Gen 1 --> Gen 2 evolutions.

I'm willing to bet they change how they evolve. Maybe you have to walk a certain distance with them during the day or night.

 

Would you assume something different for Slowpoke, Gloom, and Poliwhirl as well? Since they also have 2 directions each could take in evolution come Gen 2.

 

Tough to say. It makes sense, seeing how much you have to invest into getting the candy for them. I have a ton stockpiled, and don't feel like wasting them on a fifty/fifty shot. I think they'd be fucking up if it weren't a different mechanic. The current methods for Eevee already piss me off enough.

 

Yeah none of those are super common for me, to blow it on a 50/50 gamble would really annoy me.

 

Really I've hatched nearly all babies from my 10k eggs aout 5 elekids 2 magbys and 2 smoochum. How did you get so many togepi candies?

 

Really hope Belosom, Politoed, and Slowking are just like 125 candies and not random. It would be such a pain to keep getting to those points and then getting the wrong one. Also, I'm stuck at 153 pokedex. It seems like a lot of people are close too so I think they are really messing up by not releasing more Gen 2. atleast release the Gen 1-Gen 2 evolves which I don't think would be that tricky although it wouldn't create much more gameplay cause i could pretty much evolve them all in 1 sitting and be back at the same place.

 

This make a lot of sense since the buddy system is there and it would be the closest to the actual game. You never evolve to umbreon or espeon in the game they evolve on their own based on relationship night/day.

 

I want to know how the hell people get enough 10k eggs to do that in the first place. Seriously, my egg collection has been constant waves of nine 5ks. I think since the Halloween event, I've had one 10k (a Jynx) and four 2ks and then alllll the rest have been 5ks.

It's maddening because I still need a whopping seven Pokemon left from the 10k group (discounting the babies even) while I only have Muk and Golem left from the others. Feels like I'm spinning my wheels.

 

Yeah I'm also stunned how many 10Ks you have gotten. Super rare in my area now. As for Togepi I hatched 2 of them. Then walked him over 50km myself. Less than 1 KM to go currently.

It's from the current version, only on a select number of phones. This is going to sound really stupid, but it works as a fix.

Right when the loading bar gets to the final section of loading, turn OFF your phone... wait a few seconds, turn the phone back on and you won't be frozen
