At least most of the babies are the younger version of Pokemon that are already in Gen 1, so it's not that weird. That Togepi thing was in the cartoon with the rest of Gen 1, too so most people already know it.

I personally haven't gotten any, but it seems like from only new eggs

that's freakin adorable

 

Eggs are (apparently) pre determined when you pick them up so I think you would need to pick up the egg today. Will this mean it's impossible to hatch pikachu, clefairy, jigglypuff, magmar, jynx, etc now?

And smart move by Niantic from a business perspective. People will be spending on incubators.

 

Though I am excited to catch a Pickachu with a santa hat on, I really hope that's not the only thing coming for the "christmas event." Only because I've been stockpiling pokemon to evolve to be able to take advantage of double XP. Even spent coins on upping my pokemon storage so I could save them all until the event. I'm currently sitting at like 50 pokemon to evolve and would love to finally get to level 30.

 

I mean, if you were banking on double XP and it doesn't, that's 100% on you... not the game

 

Just to clarify, nothing new can be caught in the wild right? Besides the Santa hat Pikachu.

Also these new gen2 additions don't seem so bad as they are at least related to pokemon I'm familiar with. I'mma hatch 'em all before @irthesteve does!

 

I have a freaking 10k incubating right now and 8 5k waiting..... it's gonna be a while for me, hah

 

I hatch eggs at a rate of like one 5k a week now... and all my eggs are from before the update so it will also be a long time before I get a chance at a baby.

 

Confirmed so far, let me know if anyone sees confirmation of others and from where:

10k - Elekid, Magby
5k - Pichy
2k - Cleffa, Igglybuff

 

If you look in the pokedex Tyrogue is the only one missing. Smoochum is in there.

 

I'm just curious which eggs they will come from, sad about Tyrogue though!

 

I assumed they would just replace their evolved form and be from the same egg but if Pichu is really from a 5k then that debunks that theory.

 

Hmmm. Maybe the new guys will hinder my Gen 1 progress after all... Oh well. This game is so hard to play during the winter/holidays.

 

goddamnit. The Boost Mobile kinda close to my apartment became a pokestop. That makes a third stop "close" to my apartment, but due to fences and the bike path to get to two of them, all would take 10-15 minutes to walk to. So now I won't even get anything on my "nearby," just sightings of pidgeys and ratatas that I wouldn't even be able to get to. Ffs

 

I need 9 more Charmander for my first Charizard. Never thought I'd get this close, but I've had a nest nearby since the most recent migration. The big issue is these fuckers run all the time. Caught 3 out of 5 this morning. Such a damn grind.

At least I have 5 Ditto.

 

Is Pikachu gonna appear more frequently now that it has a lil' hat? Seen 2 today which, like i said in my post the other day, is a rare occurrence around here.
