Not sure if it's been mentioned in here yet, but every Starbucks will now be a gym or Pokestop. Just got the memo at work today!

I saw a screen-grab of one andif it is to be believed it says "The world of Pokemon Go is about to expand with new Pokemon" at the top? did you notice that?

 

Not sure what's going on. I haven't played in a few months but I think this is the first major partnership with another company for Pokémon Go? Expected it at some point. I'm hearing Gen2 will also be released Thursday when this launches. Maybe something like a Pokémon (for now) that you'll only be able to catch around the Starbucks stores? Loving this though.

I dont think they should release Gen 2 before all of Gen 1 but whatever...

I honestly agree, i want to get 151 before adding more

 

I have zero interest in gen 2 - couldn't even name a single one besides Togepi and even that's because I know that one from the TV show. It wont be uncommon for older players like me to want to bail now because this game ran purely on our nostalgia for Pokemon Red & Blue, and the 151 of those games.

 

I played Gen 2, but just a little bit. To the level of slightly acknowledgement, but not really remembrance

 

I can't even finish the first generation (besides the fact they haven't even released them all), why would I pump more time and money to playing it during the winter when I can't name a single Pokémon from Gen 2?

 

I played and remember most of gen two so I'll keep playing. Played gen three too but I don't remember much of that one

 

Yeah, that'll be it for me as well. I feel defeated with only 110 caught out of the 140 whatever, so if they just add more my dex will be even more empty.

Oh well.

 

Feeling slightly similar sentiments. Not writing the game off just yet, nor do I think anyone should cause it could wind up not being the worst thing in the world. But I really wanted to have a complete dex beforehand. I guess 124 isn't too bad.

 

I feel the exact opposite. I'm at the point where I've pretty much caught everything I'll catch, and can only get new stuff through eggs/walking, so it'll be fun to have new things to actually get out and catch rather than just wasting time with the app open not doing anything.

 

Maybe it's just the legendary birds?! (Wishful thinking)

 

FINALLY GOT ANOTHER 10KM EGG!!! First one in 30+ eggs. Stay tuned for my reaction when I hatch another fucking Electabuzz or some bullshit.

Also, at the same point I found the wild Gyarados yesterday, I found 3 Sandshrews, 2 Magnemites and a Doduo, all at once today. All 3 are pretty fucking rare around here.

 

I wish I could say the same, I'm still finding the same ole shit. And now I constantly get "GPS signal not found" at work (I didn't before), which makes it unplayable.

 

that's really funny since the starbucks pokestop on there (towson town center) is actually where the closest apple store to me is, haha

That Tweet doesn't say Gen 2. It honestly could be about Mewtwo and the birds. Hear me out... In the trailer for the game there's a ton of people gathered in Times Square fighting Mewtwo. What day of the year are there going to be a shit ton of people in Times Square? New Years Eve. That's pretty soon. And then maybe they kick off the new year with a bang releasing the birds the next three days. ArticUNO, ZapDOS, MolTRES on Jan 1-3 respectively. Not my theory, I found it on the internet, but I think it checks out. The Tweet also doesn't say new pokemon are being released on the 12th, just that we are getting the info. So it could easily be a heads up about this.

 

^ Yup. Highly doubt it's gen 2. Also I really like that theory.

 

Wouldn't it be kinda fucked up if instead of releasing gen 2 they did the most recent gen
