Three Caterpies in a row. Sad face.

 

Today was my first day off this week, and was supposed to be my day to play this.

*snows in the northeast.*

 

38 degrees and raining here in NJ but I walked anyway with an umbrella.

 

Yeah I think I have frostbite on my hand playing up here in Canada. Pretty much going to have to be done with this game after this week due to the weather.

 

I'm in Missouri here. I actually got sunburned this weekend, and it's supposed to be 80 degrees this weekend. Bizarrely warm weather for late October.

You never know how shit is going to be around here. The temperature could drop 40 degrees next week.

 

Had about twenty candies this time last week, the deed is done

 

Also I totally believe that where you get eggs from has at least great influence on what comes out of it. I've hatched sooo many Meowths since school started, and randomly hatched three Ponytas this week since going to that park/charmander nest. And the fact that out of those 2km I got charmanders?? Gotta have something to do with it

 

I forgot you hatched those two Charmanders. Do you remember how many candies you got out of it? Obviously a ton if you already got a Charizard.

 

I wasn't super paying attention when the first one was hatching so I'm not sure, but if its the same as when the second did I think like 17?

 

I hatched a squirtle and a pikchu today and only got 10 candies for each.

 

I hatched an Electabuzz today, just a week after catching one that was stronger. But the candy haul was fantastic, like... 58 or so? Also hatched an Ekans today, which made me groan. I'm glad eggs being disappointing most of the time is a norm and not a "just me" thing.

 

Well the closer you get to finishing the less chance you have of hatching what you need.

 

Hence why I've hatched every 2k besides Charmander and Squirtle since the bonus. Sucks. Four Caterpies even.

 

Has anyone had spots they opened up at gyms stolen from them? Someone claimed spots I opened up right after I spent 10-15 minutes leveling each up from level 8 to 9. Two different people at two different gyms. I even left the Pokemon I wanted to place in the gym out of my party so I didn't have to heal it first because its happened before. Nope, 5 seconds was too long. This was in a very open park where it's obvious I was the only one parked by the gym and it's a slow enough approach I know they saw someone battling there in the game. In fact, they almost had to have been waiting for their moment. Both times the person barely slowed down their car and then drove off. I wouldn't be so mad if it didn't happen TWICE. People suck.

 

I'm sitting on a 10k that's about to pop and that's honestly dictating whether or not I quit lol if it's a dud, I'll be 1/10 on non-shitty 10k eggs.

 

Haha. I've had one good 10K (Chansey). The rest have been duplicates of things I've caught in the wild. I started off with great 5Ks (Porygon and one of the Hitmons) and they've been sad since, too.

 

We should all just mass quit together. Send Niantic a message.

 

I think hitmonlee/chan are the only Pokémon I have never even seen in a gym yet.

 

Once I get all 142, I'm in.

 

No quitting until I have at least a chance at getting Mew/Mewtwo

 

My Hitmonchan is one of my weakest Pokémon.

 

lol my quitting isn't so much of sending a message as much as it is me saving myself from continuously pouring time into a game I'll never be able to win.

I only need 24 Pokemon to finish out, and 12 of those come from the 10k eggs. I've hatched 148 eggs, only 9 of those being of the 10k variety, and only ONE of those has been something I hadn't already caught in the wild...

When you think about it in those terms, it doesn't seem so hopeful, now does it? One good one in three and a half months. Yikes. haha.

 

The second time I've seen this silhouette but could not acquire the package.



Edit: On the plus side, an egg hatch and the buddy system gave me my first Charmeleon and Tentacruel. 115 caught.

 

I've been walking so much the past few days my ankles hurt & I have blisters, so I'm not even gonna bother doing any walking for my Kabutops this weekend. Still need 17 candies, after that this game is as good as over for me, unless a hatch of a Charmander or Bulbasaur gives me enough candies to tempt me into putting either of them as my buddy.

When does this halloween event end?

 

Nov 1, I don't think they said what time though.
