Still confused as to why I've come across only one Drowzee. Went from having 30 Ghastly candies to having nearly two Gengars within a couple of hours, but Drowzee still escapes me!

 

Loving this game today! Needed 8 Grimer candies when i started on my walk today - came back with 7 and was 0.25km away from the 8th, but luckily my avatar started doing that thing where it walks around randomly and he walked the last bit for the 8th candy! To make things even better, I found a wild Omastar on my walk too! (93cp lol). I damn near shot a load when it's silhouette came up on my sightings list and again when it popped up right in front of me!

3 more added to the dex today, 135/136 now! Still angry tho 'cause I got an Eevee in a 10k

Edit: also have got 60 cubone candies today! Gonna create an army of Marowaks

 

Game is destroying my battery since the update. It's almost unplayable. It dulls your background music too. Wtf.

 

Yeah, the music thing sucks a whole lot.

 

I don't even know what the point was. Why they keep working on things like turning down the music volume and making the glowing orbs is beyond me.

 

I wonder if it would be better to just have pokes that I need about 20 candies for be my buddy now and just get them instead of the starters that I need around 100+ to get. I don't know if I play enough to get a Charizard or a dragonite.

But on the other hand at least I'd get a little closer?

 

cant make a decision I need help from you guys. Should I use the Halloween bonus to upgrade my Magikarp (At 125 or so candies out of the 400 needed and gets a rate of .25 per candy in this next week) or should I use it on Charmeleon or Wartortle? (Both at like 1-2 candies out of the 100 needed with a rate of 1 km per candy this week.)

 

Same boat... I need 81 candies to get to Charizard or 258 for Magikarp.

Thinking about keeping Charmeleon as my buddy and then posting up at a lake and putting a lure down to catch Magikarp. With this bonus, each catch comes out to 8 candies (6 for the catch + 2 for transfer) so you can rack them up quickly.

 

I think I'm just going to try getting a few candies for a lot of things that way I still get the euphoria of finding the last one in the wild (if I ever do) to evolve it.

 

Forgot to mention my highest magikarp is at like 130CP :(

 

Yeah, I'm just doing a buddy for the ones I'm close to evolving, just want to bump up my dex numbers. Rather evolve 6 than 1.

 

Charmander is at .75 for me, 14 away I can feel it

 

Yeah maybe thats the way to go.

 

I thought about it, but I think I can get enough Geodudes, Slowpokes, and Abras on my own but I basically NEVER see Charmanders so this is my shortcut... Hoping to get out and catch some of those things while the double bonus is going on.

 

i'm just gonna go for all the ones i'm close to. also either im really lucky or all 2k eggs are hatching magikarp rn

 

Hatched a Ponyta and got over 30 candy for it. Omg this is awesome.

 

The update is definitely making it easier to hatch eggs without actually walking. I've logged like 0.4 k without leaving my room.

 

Do it! I decided to start my Charizard march simply because I NEVER see anything from that line in the wild.

 

I think I'm gonna leave Charizard as the last one to get, purely because he was the most iconic pokemon of my childhood and leaving him until last would be cool. Graveler is my buddy atm and I need 10 candies at 0.25km per candy - I can do that today if i'm not too tired after work. Then it's Kabuto as I need 25 candies, then Bulbasaur then Charmander for 90+ candies each. The other 3 I need are Aerodactyl, Chansey and Scyther, which I can't walk to get!!!

 

Just hatched a Lickitung and got 36 candies and a poliwag with 25. That's great because I just evolved my previous poliwag and now I'm a quarter of the way to poliwrath

 

Do hatching eggs give you 2x candy as well? I just put a 5k in, but if that's the case I'll just blow threw all my 2ks that I have.

Yeah. I got 38 for Ponyta.

 

I JUST evolved an Arcanine (finally) like a week ago... Last night in my bunch of eggs that hatched, I got back-to-back Growlithes for a whopping 61 candies.

Unfortunately, I just hatched a Magikarp the day before this bonus started. Bummer.

 

Sitting inside my job watching my character jump all around and rack up the km's aaaaahhhhhh i'm a cheater and it feels so good.
