I have a feeling Ditto is an easter egg. Like, you'll tap a Pokemon and it will turn out to be a Ditto.

 

Someone would have figured it out.

 

There was that video floating around where that guy really did get a Ditto for a second that was gifted to him from Niantic. He spent a whole bunch of money and got ripped off, so Niantic gave him some sort of refund and a "special gift" which was a 1k egg. When it hatched, it was a Ditto. After the story spread, I guess Niantic froze his account and revoked the Ditto (but left the Pokedex entry as being filled). I guess it pretty much confirms that Ditto is unreleased at the moment.

 

I'm guessing it's that ditto be used in a feature that is not yet implemented, hense not being able to get him

 

Caught 8 more Charmander at the reception, have like 70 candies. I could put as my buddy next but I've only gotten like four candies from my squirtle so far. Still zero Vulpix and zero bulbasaur, tho I saw a few silhouettes this weekend.

 

That blows my mind that it could be so different from any place I've been. I've seen 52 Bulbasaur and a few Ivysaur even. Only 11 Squirtle and only 3 Charmander counting my starter.

I'd love a Charizard but I doubt that'll ever happen.

 

Went on my first real hunt in weeks and it was fantastic. Went to a place that is a charmander nest, only got 2 but was only there for a half hour so it was still good. And then we went to another place that we had heard was pretty good. It was loaded with magikarp, they would literally spawn every minute, sometimes more than one in a spot. Also got a few dratini, tentacool, tentacruel, pinsir, etc.

 

My brother and sister in law went hiking with a friend before their flight back to Texas, stumbled upon a dragonite. Beyond jealous.

 

Also just hatched a 543cp Squirtle from a 2km egg. Pretty awesome.

 

Caught Porygon, Persian and Grimer on the weekend bringing me up to 114.

Close to evolving Jiggly and Sandshrew but beyond that I dont know where the next new entries are gonna come from.

 

118 now in the dex.

 

I got three more today as well. Raichu, Marowak, and Rhydon. At 105/105 now. I hatched about 8 eggs today with only two of them being useful. Such a bummer.

 

Did a few hours of hunting in a hot spot today and I am SO CLOSE to being done. I only need 7 more

Weezing - walking my Koffing right now, still need 34 more candies or to catch 9
Venusaur - need to catch 9 more, but I know where to find them... might spend an hour tomorrow finishing them off
Muk - halfway there, need to catch 7 more
Hypno - need to catch 3 more
Clefable - need to catch 2 more
Likitung - never even come close
Lapras - was down kinda near where two spawned today, but they were an hour away walking. I need to basically camp out in my car someday and drive to wherever it spawns, or soemthing

 

I've evolved at least five Drowzee and Clefairy. Crazy how common they are here.

 

Yeah, it's funny how things are different in different places, I never see either, as you can tell

 

there's twitters that tweet when something rare spawns, just find the one that tweets stuff closest to you

 

I was checking one down in Long Beach when I was over there, but I haven't seen one right for where I live yet. I'll look again

 

I have so many Hypnos. It's amazing to me how Drowzee is more common than a Pidgey or Rattata.

 

Jealous. I've only ever caught two, hatched one

 

Pretty sure I read that Ditto IS in the game at present, it's just that his spawn rate is so low literally no player has ever seen one. It was in one of those articles reporting about when people search the game's source code or something.

Also, lol @irthesteve not having a Hypno!!! But also not lol at him having 20+ more in the pokedex than me

 

I thought the developers acknowledged that a game trick exists...similar to the Eevee evolution trick...that gets you a ditto, it's just that no one has discovered it yet?

 

I've not seen/read anything about that yet but there must be something like that that's making one so hard to find! The fact that Ditto doesn't have any attacks is probably something to do with it?

 

Would Ditto just take form of the lowest tier on any gym?

 

Caught hella pokes 2day due to lures, and with lucky eggs + evolving anything I could, I got around 60-70,000xp points today!

 

No one is ever in the park near my job anymore. Haven't seen a single lure in weeks.
