So I don't condone doing this.... but

I was driving to work along the ocean (I know, I know) and propped my phone on my phone holder that I use when using GPS, and just clicked open the "nearby" feature so I could watch it. And what do you know.... halfway to work a fuckin Dragonite showed up on the nearby, so I pulled over and boom there he was

I always drive while playing. No shame. I only really ever find Magikarp that way.

I drive in traffic so I hardly play while driving, way too stressful as is - don't need to be distracted as well.

Yeah, I really can't distract myself when driving around here, it's way too chaotic and you almost get in an accident every day, haha. That's why the mounting of the phone, and keeping it open to "nearby" page works pretty well for me, I can glance over while still paying attention

    Has anyone tried poke alert?

I don't play and drive but I do leave it open almost every day on my way home. Just the little bit of rush hour traffic around here slows me down enough to grab some distance on the eggs and now the buddy.

Also, I'm sure I'm late on this, but I just now noticed that at some point they made the name of players who placed a lure on a Pokestop visible when you click on it.

actively trying to catch pokemon while driving is probably not the best idea

Is it even possible? I can hardly walk and catch.

The people you might kill probably don't want you to be playing Pokemon while you are driving.

This is extremely stupid. Please stop doing this for the safety of everyone else out there.

I really want a pokemon above the 2k mark. I'm at level 23, I wonder if that's possible. I caught a Snorlax recently with a ??? CP and it was around 1700.

I drive and play all the time. It's the only way I stock up on pokeballs. I have a route I drive downtown at night when there's no cars. I'll pull over to catch a Pokemon, or just flick pokeballs without looking. My phone is mounted magnetically on my dashboard, it's easy.

it's irresonsible and illegal, regardless of there being traffic or not.

I used to leave the game on while driving but just let it rack up KMs. Now that they added the push to confirm passenger thing I don't anymore

    ;-)

Santa Monica pier and Long Beach pike are both just insane for finding shit too, if you want to get crazy

Do you have to confirm that you are not a passenger to be tracking egg progress?

You have to be under 20 MPH to even get anything to count toward it. Probably closer to 15 MPH.

its 6mph to register egg distance.

You should really stop that. I'm sure all the people that have killed or injured people while texting and driving thought texting and driving was easy and no big deal too.

Do they have that nest thing for other areas?

This was from the subreddit /pokemongola for the LA area, someone on there made the map. If your area has a subreddit, maybe, but this is pretty specific

I did a search for Baltimore, and that has one too.
