Caught like 17 magikarps today under the lures on campus. Gyarados used to be a pipe dream but now it might be possible. Over half way.

 

That is probably the quickest I've seen something out here disappear. Literally less than a minute. Must have already been there a while.

Side note, the guy driving the car asked me where a certain road was, I pointed him in the correct direction and said it would be on his left. He said "Thanks!" and continued to drive in the wrong direction. Oh well.

 

Oh yeah, my bad. Gotta be better about proofreading my stuff lol. But yeah, that would be great if they'd rollout the trading feature. With all the holdup of the buddy system that was supposed to be out already, I foresee a long wait before we get any drastic new features.

 

Been a week since I've actually went out for the sole purpose of hunting. Don't have time anymore since school started, which is a shame.

 

Haven't been out for the sole purpose of hunting for around 3 to 4 weeks & still progressing well. Got to lvl.26 this morning and my pokedex is 107/108 which is ok imo. With the buddy system I may start going on long walks at the weekend to get candies - my fav cycle route is over 10km so if I do that 3 times I'll have a Raichu!

 

Was 2 candies away from getting a Vileplume, which is the 108 in my 107/108 pokedex, but got an Oddish so good I had to take the 25 candy hit & have now got a xl Gloom at almost 1100cp with great moves. Gonna be one hell of a Vileplume when I get there!!!

 

This choice always gives me anxiety. 90% of the time, I opt with getting the higher CP 2nd evolution because it pays off in the long run, but damn is it hard to be patient.

 

The only reason I even catch pokemon right now is for Stardust. Do you guys not use that stuff or what?

At level 26, I only need wild pokemon for stardust adds and XP points.

 

I don't think I've used stardust in months.

 

Is the buddy system part of a full app update? I still don't have it

 

I have the most stardust I've ever had atm, it's just all the pokes I wanna use the stardust on I cannot improve any further until I level up again because I hit the limits too quick!
I have a Mr Mime with 30+ candies that I want to make my strongest pokemon, but just can't

 

what do you use stardust on

 

Powering up pokemon is the only one I can think of.

 

Why wouldn't you power up pokemon?

 

Also did the new update come out for iPhones? Dont see it anywhere.

Finally caught a Grimer today when I opened my app for the first time. Cool surprise for the day.

 

Finally got the update today. Looking forward to walking around with my Charmander, only need a few more candies to evolve it.

 

I feel like they could preserve a lot more interest in this game if there was more to do when you can't walk around. I know that defeats the purpose of getting people up to play, but hear me out. A simple mini game that you could play to collect (a small amount of) pokeballs or potions if you win. That way when you are in the passenger seat on the interstate or you get to class early and need to kill 10 minutes you can open the game and have something to keep you occupied.

I've thought about this too when I'm sitting and eating lunch or something. The game is nonexistent when you aren't moving which I guess is somewhat the point, but sometimes I just want to do something haha. If only there was a way to train your Pokemon without being in a gym just to get some XP or items or raise their CP, but eh oh well.
