Has it been confirmed that you can at least hatch the regional exclusives from eggs? I'm on my usual commute this morning and I see a fucking Kangaskhan holding a gym - which is odd as i'm in Europe and our exclusive is Mr Mime. The gym itself is a strange one as it's right in the middle of a roundabout that has 3 lanes of traffic going around it, meaning you have to cross that to engage the gym (which literally nobody does, during the day at least). Got photo proof too so I'm not "yanking your chain"!

 

How have we not discovered this before?! Pidgey is my top one with 464 caught, 500+ seen! Next highest 294 ratatta caught, then 206 weedle. So. Much. Garbage

Edit: 44% of all the pokemon I have caught have been those 3 - add Drowzee into that and 50% of all my catches have been Pidgey, Rattata, Weedle and Drowzee

 

Chansey may have a low CP, but it can take hits like a champ with that HP.

 

Caught a 218 CP alakazam lol fml. At least I have it registered in the poke dex.

 

Yesterday I hatched a Doduo, Growlithe, Koffing, and Voltorb from 5k eggs. Doduo and Growlithe both sit at 49 candies. I have not seen either one in the wild in two weeks. Probably have to hatch another of each in order to evolve.

In looking at my pokedex, I have encountered 232 Eevees so far, which is more than the number of Pidgeys I have seen. I have evolved more than 10 each of the Eeveelutions.

 

I caught my first abra and first geodude yesterday, getting 125 candies seems unlikely.

 

Ugh, devastated. My Charmander finally got knocked out of his gym. He had a good five-day run though.

To make up for it, the Pokegods gave me my first Dratini at the gas station this morning. It was really small on the screen at first, and I actually thought it was an Arbok. That would have been dumb.

 

I can't imagine staying in a gym for longer than 15 minutes

 

I would probably break down and cry if I had a hatching day that good.

 

For some reason those Doduos went from being the most common Pokemon to basically nonexistent. Seriously, one time I had so many that I saw five of them together in the parking lot at PetSmart, and I didn't even bother catching one. Now I haven't seen one in two months. Luckily I grabbed enough for multiple Dodrios before they disappeared.

 

It was one of my best hatching days, but that 49 candies thing really took some of the fun out of it. I just know my next group of 4 5k eggs will all be Nidorans...

 

Hatched a 2k egg (Caterpie eh) that brought me up to level 20. I had no idea that I would get so many items! It filled my bag up to 404/350

 

Couldn't catch a wild Dragonite 1640CP last night. Used 10 berries and 11 Ultra Balls before it ran off. It was the first and only one I have ever seen.

Someone make me feel better.

 

This game is dumb and meaningless so who really cares besides a bunch of nerds this is not what you exist to be good at, having a dragonite adds no value to your life in the long term let it go

 

Have we already discussed how they are adding a "Buddy Walking" feature in the future?

Basically, it will mean you can select one pokemon at a time as your "buddy" and walk it with you to receive candies for it. Limited to a specific amount of candies a day. Sounds cool.

Apparently its already in the code of the latest version, but they have not made it go-live yet.

 

You're going to make a great parent some day. Haha!

 

I heard about the buddy system and I like that idea a lot, it'd help to evolve some of the Pokemon I've only seen/caught once.

Speaking of updates... What ever happened to that advanced tracker that was in beta in SF? Is it still working for them? It seems like that update came a while ago.

So it's basically like another form of the egg hatching except it'll give you control over what Pokemon you get candies for. I like it.

Really, the only time I get distance is when I do cardio, I never go out of my way to walk around to hatch eggs otherwise. This might be a good thing to just leave on while I'm grocery shopping.

 

We need more opportunities to earn Stardust damnit.

Opportunities that are in the user's control.

For example:
- Somehow based on performance in battles
- 100 SD for every 10th Pokestop you visit
- More SD for catching a higher CP pokemon or a rarer pokemon in the wild

 

The lack of stardust has been my biggest gripe that they haven't addressed yet. It takes sooo much to level up Pokemon even 20 CP, yet there's almost no way to get it. I feel like I'll catch 100 Pokemon and then be out of stardust in five uses. You don't get it for battling, training, evolving, catching rarer/more powerful Pokemon, etc.

Same with candies to a certain extent. If a 10CP Pidgey is worth the same stardust and candies as a 1000CP Pidgeot, why would I waste my time?

 

They either got it from traveling or GPS spoofing, you can't hatch them.

 

St. Louis is having a big Pokemon event tomorrow. Apparently, every other Friday in the Delmar Loop downtown, the business put up constant lures on 35 Pokestops. I would try it out but I'll be playing a music festival this weekend. :/

 

I just evolved a Kadabra and my alakazam is only 430 CP
