I asked a couple buddies of mine today what they think is the rarest pokemon available on this game - I said Alakazam because i've never seen one in the wild, on the sightings list, or in a gym (my line of thinking being that I have seen Charizard/Blastoise/Dragonite/Gyarados etc in gyms so they are obtainable for some, but never Alakazam), but they both said Raichu! Has anyone bar @irthesteve got a Raichu? Or an Alakazam?

 

I haven't gotten either but I've started to learn where certain nests are around me so hopefully that'll change haha

 

My buddy has a Raichu and my girlfriend an Alakazam. I haven't seen kabutops yet

 

I haven't seen any of the 3 fossils :( But hopefully that'll change

 

I finally saw a machamp in a gym, only like 1600. Have seen one, maybe two raichus in a gym. Never seen a primape,Alakazam, golem, marowak, hitmonlee, dugtrio, omastar, kabutops, electrode, or any of the regional exclusives in any capacity.

 

One of my friends caught a wild Machamp on day 2 and we are no longer friends

I do have a Primeape though

 

Since the nest switch, I've grabbed four Mankeys in my front yard so I'm one away from a Primeape. Basically, every single gym in my town is Arcanine, Exeggutor, Vaporeon, Snorlax, and a Lapras a lot of time. Occasionally, I'll see a Poliwrath or Nidoking or something. Basically never see anything else at all, but I'm not sure if people aren't catching them or if they just aren't worth putting in gyms.

 

I caught a Raichu in the wild. Only one I've ever seen. I also need about 8 more abra for an alakazam

 

I'm 6 Abra away from Alakazam, shouldn't be long!! Pokedex at 126, 16 left to catch

 

I still don't have a Kadabra because the one time we had an Abra nest was also when the game was crashing every 5 minutes :(

 

Ive got an Alakazam but he's just not that strong, and I evolved him up from an abra. Also have a enough candy to evolve a pikachub but he won't be very strong either

 

It seems like there's some Pokemon that are just hard to catch with good stats. All my Vulpix and Abra I catch are under 200CP, but every single Bellsprout I encounter is like 600CP. I usually feel like even if I got a Ninetails or Alakazam, they wouldn't even be worth trying to use in gyms.

 

Yea I've heard Alakazaam has horrible stats and moves for how difficult he is to obtain.

My top 5 most wanted I have never seen in a gym but want:

Machamp
Primape
Hitmonlee
Hitmonchan
Raichu

 

primeape sucks

 

That's sad.

 

My Primape and Hitmonchan seem pretty useless.

 

Yeah all my current fighting types are pretty useless sans Poliwrath and mine doesn't have a fighting move so I dunno

 

Yeah Alakazam is the only third evolution I've never seen in a gym. Probably cause he sucks rather than is hard to get. I actually see an Abra ever my few days.

Edit: never seen a venesaur either.

 

My Poliwrath is awesome when I'm trying to take gyms around here. So is my Golduck.

 

Bulbasaurs are by far the easiest starter to come by around here, but I still have only seen one or two Venusaurs in gyms... He must also be kinda bad which is a bummer because I've been working hard to get a hold of one. Currently at 88 candies.

 

I have a Raichu. It kinda sucks. Pikachus are rare where I am, but not nearly as rare as bulbasaur, koffing, or grimer.

I have alakazam and raichu with quite a few candy left over, I think hypno and muk are some of the rarest here. Maybe ninetales too

 

I have yet to see Alakazam, Kabutops, or Raichu anywhere. I have 19 Pikachu candies, and only 11 Abra candies since I evolved one to a Kadabra. So those two are pretty far out for me right now. But I am sitting at 47 Kabuto candies thanks to eggs, so hopefully that's one I can hope to have soon.


Also, found a pretty cool Easter egg...

Caught a Pikachu today and she spoke! Sounded just like she does in the show. Idk if they changed it for any other Pokemon yet, but Pikachu no longer makes alien noises.

 

I have 12 Hypnos right now, probably transferred ten more.

I still want a Vulpix so bad
