Nice. What’s your final team?

 

Pikachu, Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, Hitmonlee, and Mew.

I really just wanted to level up my Mew, but I also tried to recreate the same team I had when I was 10 to the best of my knowledge. Back then I obviously didn't have Pikachu in the lineup either, but he's honestly my strongest Poke right now.

 

In the middle of the E4 right now

Team: Marowak (Alola), Eevee, Gyarados, Rhydon, Venusaur, Raichu (Alola)

What was everyone's first Elite 4 team to the best of your memory?

Mine was: Haunter, Zapdos, Charizard, Aerodactyl, Nidoking, Lapras

 

Blastoise, Raichu, Slowbro, Kabutops, Ninetales, Scyther I think was mine

 

Blastoise, Snorlax, then... Doduo, Voltorb, and another filler pokemon I can't remember. I had failed at beating the Elite 4 every single time up till that point and was just fighting them to get EXP to evolve my fillers when I accidentally swept the entire thing with basically just the Blastoise and Snorlax lmao

 

I have no clue what my first E4 team was, but I probably had Venusaur, Nidoking and Pigeot if I remember correctly.

I just beat Lt. Surge and my team is: Ivysaur, Pikachu, Growlithe, Kadabra, Nidorino, and Chansey.

 

I don’t at all remember my first elite 4 team except blaziken was in it

 

Its funny that no matter how many times I fight the gen 1 Elite Four, there is always some dumb surprise on the team that gives me a hard time.

 

My first was in Silver, led by Typhlosion. I cannot remember the rest.

 

Fairly certain my first team was Blastoise, Persian, Ninetales, Dewgong, Zapdos, Rhydon. Might have had Vaporeon instead of Blastoise. I don't remember.

 

I was 9, how could I remember

 

Pretty sure it was something like Blastoise, Pigeot, Flareon, Persian, Hypno, Raichu? At least, those are the ones I remember using a lot as a kid. Hypno specifically was a staple, used him every single time for some reason lol.

 

How anyone can remember their first winning team from 15-20 years ago is bananas to me. I couldn't even guess mine.

Right now, though, I'm about to go fuck up Koga's entire life and I'm running Eevee, Venasaur, Ninetales, Jolteon, Dragonair, and Articuno.

 

Is there a trick to catching the legendaries? My lady keeps saying there's a trick to it.

I'm going to double controller it and see how it plays out.

 

Just jumping in to say that the catch mechanics of this game (mostly in docked mode) are fucking terrible and anyone who worked on it or even okayed it and let it get shipped like this has no business being in games.

 

Handheld catching is great, docked catching is fun for the first 5 minutes and then it becomes impossibly frustrating. Ah yes my wrist was tilted slightly to the left, time for my thrown ball to land in fuckin Antarctica

Yeah, but that's not docked mode which is absolute shit.

Completed the pokedex and got a couple shines! Endgame is weird as hell though.

Also my kids are here for the week and seeing their faces light up as they play their first Pokemon game made the purchase more than worth it
