I’m interested in seeing how evolution and pokéballs are depicted. I didn’t see a sign of either in the trailer and both of the leads have their mons waking around freely.

 

Domestically, I am doubtful it will top Avengers 4. But internationally, it will be much closer or probably a given "win" for Pokemon I think.

 

Did anyone ever see the original run of the Pokémon musical? It was so good, maybe it's because I was super young but I still remember the closing song to this day

Wow if you look on his wiki he actually did a lot of voice work for cartoons / anime in the late 90s/early 00s

Wow, didn't even know there was a wiki page for it. Just saw the girl who played meowth passed, super sad. Meowth might've been my favorite part of that play.



Also saw that a few members of the cast were on cubix, idk why but I liked that show

If you can find a way to time travel back to 2000, you can. Looking at the wiki, I think it's available on YouTube but no idea what the quality is.

I just realized during the live performance, you can see people are using their cellphones. For some reason that seems hard to believe even though it was obviously in 1999 and they did exist haha

idk man. it feels very niche. in extremely here for the niche but still.

 

I think this will do well, but, even in week 3 of Avengers 4, I'd be nervous. Next May is so stacked with Avengers 4, this, John Wick 3, Aladdin and Godzilla: King of Monsters. It's hard to think of how things will shake out.

 

I’m probably gonna see Godzilla 5 times before I get around to seeing this.

 

Godzilla is released three weeks after this though

 

Just picked up this adorable bulbasaur planter for my succulents. I’ve seen some people paint them and I’m considering that but I’m not very artistic

 

this is the first blockbuster film entry into one of media’s most successful franchises across all mediums. it will do more than fine.
