I actually finally started this a couple days ago! Only 5 episodes in but I’m real into it. Excited to get to the first Saga Edit: real weird to be hearing Feral Audio again on these early episodes
i know someone posted in the theme park thread, but where is/what episodes are consensus best place to start?
I'm not as hardcore Universal as I am Disney, so I'll probably only listen to Disney episodes and maybe select Universal episodes hah starting now with the WDW v DL episode
That’s how I felt too when I started but City Walk Saga is sort of essential listening if you wanna get into the lore
I started with Splash Mountain due to the announcement last week, grabbed a couple other episodes with guests I liked, then just committed and started from the beginning
i'll probably do all the disney related episodes then go back and do select other episodes, but i will commit to the City Walk Saga if that is required listening hah
I actually started listening chronologically a couple years ago, but I hit a couple episode stretch that I wasn’t as interested in. So I started skipping ahead and eventually got to the City Walk Saga. I haven’t been the same since.
So far have listened to the WDW v DL, Great Movie Ride, and Splash Mountain episodes. Very good, will definitely fly through a bunch of these hah
I started from the beginning and it took me like 80 eps to tell Scott and Mike apart. I fell off over the past year (and was behind anyway). Left off at Muppetvision 3D
I’d say it’s a lot more than that. They are a group of improv people who have various experience in show business and have a penchant for theme parks. However, they also cover a range of topics that go outside the realm of theme parks and themed entertainment. For example, they have entire episodes devoted to McGruff the Crime Dog, Chuck E Cheese, and the Keebler Elves (some of which might be on their Patreon exclusive episodes, not sure). Some of the best parts of the podcast are when they’re talking about things that are wholly irrelevant to the theme park topic that the episode is named for. They’ll just riff and go off topic and can be long winded at times, but it’s my most listened to podcast. If you’re not super into mainstream theme parks, they will cover long extinct and very under the radar attractions from the smaller parks around the world and it’s pretty intriguing.
Yeah I could give a fuck about Theme Parks. All three are hilarious. Scott helped discover The Room and also created Tiny Fuppets and a ton of other great things. He’s a comedic genius imo. Mike and Jason are also very funny and all three are very good boys.
