"You always askin' for Buddha, you a Budapest" I deadass had to stop the track and replay that just to make sure I heard it right, jesus Kanye lmao
How well does this work as an album for everyone? I like Carti well enough but I've never found that his music makes for a good front-to-back experience and I'd get exhausted from listening to almost any artist for 24 tracks at over an hour of time, let alone Playboi Carti. I guess I'll just have to find out myself though.
To be honest, I actually think this flows decently. There's enough variation throughout that it doesn't get stale and none of the songs are that long (a lot are below 2 minutes). Not every one is a winner but it's largely really good stuff.
lots of weird pockets that reveal themselves over successive listens. total cyborg production. what a record
First listen - I hated this. On subsequent listens, a few tracks are starting to work for me. I still think is pretty bad tbh but Idk maybe if I keep trying it will grow....
All of the 16-20 year olds that I work with are very disappointed with this album which is weird because while not amazing or anything, it's my favourite full Carti project for sure. Old Heads for Carti
Well I’ll be damned. This finally clicked for me last night while I was playing COD. This album is great... and I straight up hated it in first listen
this is easily his best album by a country mile ILoveUIHateU or Slay3r is probably my favorite track but Vamp Anthem might be the one that gets me the most hyped
