My goodness that's a beautiful album cover

I haven't liked a single song from these guys in ages unfortunately, but "Special Needs" is an all timer for me

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

New tracks are intriguing and actually have me excited for the new record. Meds was the last Placebo album I truly enjoyed from start to finish and really the only one I often revisit.

  7. got really vivid memories of a week in Madrid in 2009 soundtracked by Battle For the Sun. let's fucking go

I can always be better, so I'll always try. Supporter

Meds is the only album of theirs I've heard and I really like about two thirds of it. Should I check something else out?

  9. Yep the four albums that preceded it.

  13. This is SO GOOD. It’s a wonderful amalgamation of their melancholy earlier music and their later poppier sensibilities. I still just love Brian’s voice

  15. Yeah it's a return to form, easily the most I've gotten into a Placebo album since Sleeping With Ghosts. It also makes me want to revisit their post-Meds stuff, to see if anything will click more this time.

  16. I like all their music, really, but the pensive stuff has always been more in my wheelhouse when it comes to any artist

  17. I can’t stop listening to this

also - did they sample Under Pressure on The Prodigal? I hear it during the bridge

what is it that the kids say these days? This is a 'total vibe' ..... lol

Honestly not surprised that this is getting such positive reviews, it's super enjoyable. Great effort from a veteran band.

Revisiting this again and yeah it's so good. Might be their second best tbh

I think it’s their best at least since Meds. Twin Demons is probably my favorite along with that piano part at the end of Surrounded By Spies, so good.

I’m bummed they had to cancel their US dates cause of visa issues, really wanted to see them at riotfest but hopefully they’ll reschedule soon!

Been going through the catalog recently in preparation to see them in Brooklyn next month (first time playing the city in nearly a decade!) Was fascinated to learn that the "Dope, Guns, Fucking In The STreets" bit in "Spit In Malice" was done by Justin Warfield of She Wants Revenge, who they toured with in 2006.
