cloud nothings opening is cool, great to see the pixies bring out a band that is better than them

I don't understand why they have 3 Boston dates...with one at a completely different (and MUCH smaller) venue.

 

2017 is the year of bands skipping the northwest.

 

That is pretty odd. Do any of their albums have a significant anniversary this year? If so, maybe they'd just do the album in full there.

 

Never got huge into the Pixies but I may have to go considering the venue.

 

Hmm... Its a reunion tour for Los Pixies, IIRC. A friend of mine is stoked to see them in South Africa, I think. Hes a huge fan.

Paradise is like 1K people, HOB is 2K? Whered I see the pixies - Orpheum, perhaps - god. Doolittle was awesome when it came out. Dunno where my CD is now - somewhere in the basement....

edited - I said Doolittle.... I meant Surfer Rosa - debut album, right? <that> made it for me.

 

It's odd to me the the venue in NC for this show is all seated. Maybe that's typical for Pixies shows now, but I feel like it would be weird seeing Cymbals Eat Guitars in a seated venue
