The amount of people having full on conversations near me during Lucy’s set is ridiculous. I’m not even in the way back, I’m in the middle closer to the front.
Damn, Japanese Breakfast was so great. Fifth time I’ve caught them, and that was the best set yet. The Jeff Tweedy appearance rocked too.
Highlights today were The Linda Lindas, The Armed, Lucy, and J Brekkie. Left during Mitski. Just wasn’t doing it for me tonight.
Linda Lindas and Brekkie were the highlights for me! Cupcakke and Magdalena Bay were really fun too. Mitski was fine, but I feel I needed to know more of her songs to fully enjoy it.
Probably 1. parquet courts 2. jbrekkie 3. magdalena bay (who id not spent much time listening to before!) for me so far. Mitski, CupcakKe, Jeff Parker, and the National all up there too.
I really enjoyed Mitski. I also thought the sound was bad today, in addition to the talking. In a dream world I would go tomorrow to catch Tirzah, Earl, Cate Le Bon, and The Roots but I think I will be way too tired to make the trek over.
Did manage to get to Sleeping Village for part of Questlove’s DJ set. That was awesome to see and have him literally down the street in my neighborhood. Some members of The Roots came to hang out, too, and were openly chatting in the bar.
I've got a 3-day Plus pass bracelet I'm not going to use today- so if anyone wants to pick up on the North side (I'm in Edgewater), shoot me a DM. Free to a good home.
Also, maybe I’m reading into things. But on Friday they didn’t even scan our tickets and today we got told the backpack we’d been using all weekend was too big. Feels kind of selective to me.
Totally depends on the gate and the day. Dashpass/Zelle is the easiest. I could have gotten in with a pound of weed.
This is the best headline about the festival We Were Front And Center For The Armed At Pitchfork Fest And Holy Shit
That was a great weekend and reminded me why I do think this is one of the better festivals around. Has anyone found saved footage from the streams?
