well arcosanti is maybe better too but that's not really a traditional festival

 

Well fuck me, if only this was east coast

 

it's the sort of festival that you see more amazing bands you missed every time you look

 

I counted 40 acts I’d see, which is insane, and arcosanti seems amazing, I’d love to be able to go to that one day, their lineups have always been phenomenal

 

Sub, so happy Nnamdi got added. Probably gonna try to get Friday/Sunday tickets but not feeling Saturday.

woof, lucy/julie byrne, earl/big thief? rough

 

I've never listened to Julie so that one is easy, but I don't know what I'm going to do about Big Thief and Earl.

 

I’m mainly going for Julien and Lucy on Friday so if anyone has suggestions on who to check out that day as well, I’d appreciate the recommendations.

 

Melkbelly is a pretty cool Chicago band playing right before Lucy. You definitely definitely have to check out Courtney Barnett (if you haven't already). Depending on if you'd rather more stuff similar to the two you mentioned or something a little different, you could see Big Thief or Earl Sweatshirt (they play at the same time). Big Thief is a more folk rock kind of band, and Earl Sweatshirt is a more chill rapper.

 

I want to go Friday so badly

 

Saw Lucy earlier this year so I’m going Julie, and earl rarely plays anymore so I’ll go with him. I’m so happy there’s no blood orange conflicts, but sucks I’m gonna miss Kelela on Saturday. Otherwise, my schedules great.

Also see Saba on Friday, he put out the best hip hop album this year.

 

Anyone know how long Courtney’s set is gonna be? I REALLY don’t wanna miss any of Tame Impala

 

Courtney is 7:25-8:25 and Tame Impala is 8:30-9:50 at the adjacent stage.

 

Perfect. I’m just going Friday but couldn’t be more excited, such a stacked day.

I know Julien is opening a few dates for her, so I know her name but haven’t listened to any of her stuff. Will do tonight and report back!
