Damn, Capable of Love is awesome. Really cool how it starts off pretty standard and jumps to the live drums well into the track. Halftime in that last chorus gives the song an unexpected rock feel. Excellent hook too, she’s too good at that

God DAMN True Romance

 

A very positive first impression! Aside from a couple songs I sorta zoned out on (Nice To Meet You and Feelings), this wound up being pretty much exactly what I hoped for/expected out of a “standard” length PinkPantheress LP

 

Very excited to check this

 

Enjoyable first listen but does feel a bit one note, doesn't really push the boundaries of her sound, feels somewhat safe. I think the first album has a lot more interesting tracks

 

It is a pretty safe move for her, but I think safe is earned considering the debut was under 20 minutes and definitely leaves me wanting more. I was lowkey hoping this wouldn’t really be much of a departure for that reason haha. While there aren’t really any huge swings, this album does feel much “bigger” to me at least

Feel Complete is such a slapper

 

I wouldn't say it's safe. On the contrary, it expands her sound, especially with the increase of R&B and rock influences in comparison to the more drum'n'bass/2 step centric mixtape. She just gets it. The Aisle and Feel complete are my early faves so far.

this is so fucking good

 

Really like this. Loving the late 90/early 00s dance music influences laced throughout. Really digging that in other pop music too this year too.
