Great song.

 

I think I prefer Darkness and Skylight that I've heard on Youtube. Can't wait for those to release.

Still think Intrepid was decent

 

Yeah Intrepid was my least favorite live video, and I love the studio version, so that's a good sign for the rest. Skylight is going to be insane.

 

The (lack of) production on “Intrepid” is disappointing, but it’s otherwise a good song

 

Yeah I'm curious if this is unmastered and they just wanted something out there, or if this is what we can expect the rest to sound like. From the studio update it looked like these vocals were recorded in a living room with Evan and Nandi singing at the same time, and most of the other vocals might've been recorded before they switched houses.

 

this is awesome to watch now that we have the song.

I've swallowed that fart about 15 times already and loved every second of it, thank you very much.

 

Love the song. As immediate to me as anything on Cardinal was.

 

Production on this is perfect, I'd be upset if it was any more polished

Pinegrove's recorded music is just a blue print to help you enjoy the live show even more anyway. I don't care about the production as long as it doesn't sound completely janky

 

Stilll not convinced this song is going to be on the album. If you read their statement it def doesn’t confirm that it is. Just says this is from a batch of tracks they recorded

 

This is pretty bad quality recording. For me it certainly hinders the worth of the track. Why would a band with the momentum they had release something like this? I'm all for lessened hands on production, but I just feel like it does not work here.

 

The production here is a step up from cardinal... however that’s not necessarily saying much I suppose. My only main issue with the mix were the vocal levels being a bit too low.

 

It brings me maybe more happiness than it should that Hayley Williams listens to Pinegrove too (and honestly just good music all across the board)

 

this production is about the same as their other recordings

 

Y’all are snakes if you don’t get in this production

 

I do wish they would at least use an outside mixer if they are hell bent on recording things themselves... label isn’t going to complain though, makes the album really cheap to make I suppose ha

 

From Cardinal? Definitely disagree.

 

i don't like it much mostly because i think they could do more with the dynamics

though as i said i'm not making a huge judgment on this song until i hear it in context

 

I think people just want to hear the band more clearly.. I mean you listen to the audio tree sessions and it’s like wow imagine what they could do with legit production. I also want to see them blow up bc they are incredible song writers, this may hold them back if the album sounds this raw.

 

i think the songs on cardinal were cleaner sounding but that's more of a musical choice than a production one

 

Think it sounds pretty much the same as it always has with them lol
