I think I read somewhere that Nandi and Adan have officially left the band.

 

The survivor made a statement with Spin here after all that stuff about Punk Talks came out. While they didn't want this all made public with the intention of "taking down" the band, there's not really any talk of resolution or what that would look like or how she feels about them touring. So I think it's really up to your own discretion at this point

TL/DR, we basically know a lot out of this. Sheridan Allen misrepresented multiple people in a quest to "take down" Pinegrove. Evan, according to the victim, sexually coerced her into cheating on her boyfriend and when she said no he continued. There was no physical contact. The second alleged victim was frustrated with Evan but never felt that the situation was abuse and confided in Allen as a friend.


This is very weird.

So everything I've read paints this situation as being overblown, will stream album on loop for a year.

Holy shit that is long. I did read most of it though and it’s loaded with stuff I personally didn’t know about the situation. Granted, I haven’t been following super closely. The whole thing seems very messy. I am happy they are donating the proceeds to charity. He seems healthier than when he put out that shitty statement. Other than that... i dunno. There’s a major part of me thats like “fuck this guy” but Everything So Far helped mend my broken heart just a few years ago. Will I listen to the new album? Maybe- out of curiousity. But my relationship with this band has been tainted.

 

I would advise everyone to read the entire piece for yourself and not go off of some tldr post in here

Glad to have some clarity on this situation, and personally I feel like I can listen to this band again and I'm excited for the new record.

 

I see no reason not to listen to the album

 

It seems as though he followed the wishes of his victim, actively tried to change and worth with her and understand what he did wrong. He went through rehabilitation, worked with the victim and she seems to be at peace with the release of the album
