i hate when this stuff happens in this scene and people are like "oh well screw anyone that has every toured with them, talked to them, scheduled a show for them, planned on touring with them, etc etc" it is SUCHHHHHH BULL SHIT. everyone who has this attitude acts like they know the minute details of these strangers lives!!!!! You also are being so short sited! Phoebe Bridgers LITERALLY has a music career. a CAREER. A career is a job, that makes you money, thats feeds you and lets you live a life. Youre mad that she is promoting her career on her social media platform??? GET OVER YOURSELF. We have noooooo idea what is going on with this. but in the meantime let an artist (Phoebe Bridgers) continue to promote and expand her career without assuming the worst of her. Ugh.
I mean, she actually was the support act for a reason, and it's cause she isn't as big or popular an act as Pinegrove. It's not based on gender, it's based on popularity. Camp Cope are awesome though so neat reply if that's what you thought I meant.
It was just meant to be a topical joke, to be honest. Regardless, many of the UK venues aren't *that* big. Probably only Shepherd's Bush is notably bigger than the rest, but I don't see any reason why she couldn't do most of these venues, especially if booking the right support that brings along their own fans too.
I assumed they were all Shepherd's Bush size or maybe a tiny bit smaller. Honestly, I don't actually know how popular she is, I just assumed as I've never encountered her outside of this website and she was the support, which was probably wrong of me. I'll check her out though.
Not everyone can afford pulling out of tours. It’s that simple. They might’ve paid her for each show and maybe that money is already re-invested into merchandise or travel expenses.
People don’t give a shit though. People just think it’s so simple. They don’t remember these are people that have lives too, with bills to pay, with expenses, that need to feed themselves. All people are seeing right now is “well she isn’t doing what I think is right from the internet drama I’m reading!!”.
It's a whole part of west London, the venue is Shepherd's Bush Empire. Quite near me and where I have my ticket for as well.
Probably for the best. Hopefully he gets the help he needs, makes amends to his victims (if they desire that of course), and comes back a better person.
Interested to see what Phoebe does now or if she just takes some time off and skips Europe to focus on her headline tour, which would be fair.
I hear you, but everything involved in the process would be a lot more complicated than just bumping her to headliner at venues Pinegrove had been booked to headline. If they manage it though - bonus and I'd love to see her play those venues.

I guess this means that at this point they still feel there's at least a chance of them continuing at some unspecified time in the future. Whether that's appropriate or not, I couldn't say and only those close to the situation/band will really know if they can ever come back. Suspect it'll be a while before we hear any more and until then the album will presumably be on hold, even if it is finished.
yeah, there really is nothing to talk about or care about regarding this band until a new statement is made regarding the situation.
