    Was slow to check this out bc I had a hard time connecting with the last album (too many slower songs, very few hooks compared to their previous work), but after seeing them live a couple weeks ago and spending some time since with this album, I think it’s fantastic and my favourite PQ record so far (and among my top 5 AOTY contenders)

    I absolutely love how heart-on-sleeve Name Your Sorrow is lyrically, and the more raw production compared to Leave the Light On. Also interesting to hear Pamela on lead vocals for all tracks. I wonder how much of that was a creative choice vs something more organic

    Highlights for me are “February 8th”, “Gone” (Sarah’s background vox go so hard!), and “Heavy Pour”. Honestly though, there’s not a weak track on here. Pillow Queens sound more vital and more comfortable in their skin than ever. Can’t wait to hear what’s next
