I took the day off and am blaring this while starting my day with some Smash Bros and I gotta say, this game has never felt so tense
Currently going through whiplash from diving into my couch during On A Bigger Screen and then crying through Other Moons/Hair
This is probably my favorite of all the great releases today. Should reach a wider audience than their previous stuff. Might be something @teebs would enjoy being all dynamic and rock and whatnot.
This album is fantastic. Was browsing their Instagram and saw they went on tour with Converge. That is pretty damn cool!
Went into this only knowing You’re Better Than This (which is fine), but this record is fucking GOOD. I love how much more dark and melodic this is. They do that anti-melody thing real well. Also what an opening track holy shit, way to go for it
YES Firewood is so good and to be honest you listened to the only album of the last four that isn’t amazing
I will check the others. Saw them with Converge and thought they were fine, but I didn’t know much of their material
bruxist gun sounds like Tax Man by the Beatles lol that's sick. the moody moments are getting me hyped for a whole record of mellow Pile which wasn't something I was super stoked on before despite loving the mellow moments on Hairshirt of Purpose. excited to see them rip this live
this still goes. haven't seen anyone talk about this much for year end stuff which is kind of a bummer but not unexpected. considered making an end of the decade list just to give them and Ovlov the love they deserve
100% agree, consistently engaging and inventive even as the project keeps evolving and introducing elements that other rock bands aren't really messing with rn. Rick is a singular songwriter
I've never really given this band a chance, but I'm listening to this record now and it's great. Gonna slowly make my way through the other studio albums next.
