man, i love the soft hands of stephen miller, the energy it gives off is awesome. i’m not really familiar with the rest of pile’s discography, are there other songs where he belts like that?

Occasionally, definitely listen to Dripping. It’s a classic and it’s pretty aggressive. They’re one of the best bands going though, their last album is wonderful as well

thanks, i’ll check out dripping first. i listened to a hairshirt of purpose when it came out and i saw rick open for titus but never really got into them. these new songs have me hyped though so i’m gonna check everything out.

Yeah, that’s definitely the one that made me realize they were something special and I doubt Hairshirt would have been as good to me had I not heard Dripping first if that makes sense, hope you like

Prom Song is one of the best rock n roll songs of the 2010s

They slow it down so good. Honestly, the mellower tracks are my favorite on here. The final three track run is perfection.

this pile album is off to a great start and I'm ready to call this another win for exploding in sound records. trying to see if the playing feels significantly different on this record and all I can really say so far is the aggressive stuff is not as gnarled as usual but no less abrasive for that, which is cool. this is punkier I guess is how I'd say it. or like thrash. anyway! I like this lol

As far as rock goes, it doesn’t get much better than this and I hope it gets the attention it deserves
