King For a Day is old enough now to be like, formative/nostalgic for a lot of younger Millennials/Gen Z-ers who were/are into alternative music lol
I think King for a day is one of my least favorite songs on that record too Also - lowcountry is such a gangster ass lp
Collide the Sky is like the last album of this era I really loved. part of me was hoping they would try and recapture that, but Pass the Nirvana is really growing on me
I don't like the new song, but I'm having a bit of a hard time in general deciding if I feel comfortable continuing to pay attention to this band. I feel like the Mike thing was handled really poorly with their minimal (and late) response, but he's clearly out of the band at this point. I know their situation is a bit more nuanced Mike is literally Vic's blood brother but it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth how they tried to just be silent at first.
I’m blocked by the band on Instagram for calling out their lack of acknowledgment. Absolutely left a bad taste in my mouth. Them and Fearless were deleting comments all over about this from a lot of people. It’s a bummer but I know how you feel.
Thank you for calling them out and try to make an impact. At least he’s out now, but certainly too little too late. I’ve drawn my own lines with my support of the band after this all came out.
Lionel Robinson from Letlive is the touring drummer for at least this tour which is a good get and makes sense considering he lives in San Diego too. Dude is a beast behind the kit.
Mike thing was definitely handled poorly, but since he's gone, I'm not gonna hold it against them too much. Don't blame y'all at all that do though. I have older brothers and it would be really hard for me to think about how to handle a similar situation with them, so I'm willing to give a little more grace for this specific situation since we got to the right conclusion in the end.
Second single “Emergency Contact” out next Friday, November 11. Looks like an album called “The Jaws of Life” will be announced alongside it judging by the leaked single art. I’m really excited for this. First single was a huge surprise for me.
Definitely prefer Pass The Nirvana which I still think is a great song. That being said, I still enjoy this song and am intrigued by the potential direction of the album.
I like it, not as much as Pass The Nirvana, but like it enough. that being said I realllllly hope there’s some harder/faster songs on the album. Collide with the Sky is legit one of my favorite albums. Gimmie a song like The First Punch or Hell Above.
I like this one too. Pass the Nirvana feels like a bigger step forward, but this feels like classic Pierce the Veil. Way more excited for this album than I ever expected to be
