They're playing a free show here tonight so I'm taking a half day to go line up and make sure I get in (I haven't lined up this early for a show in like a decade). Can't believe it's been 7 years, I better get in
They're also doing a free show in DC but only way to get tickets is to listen in on the radio? Like I'm guessing you can line up day-of to get in?
Can't speak to that. This was like a "claim your free ticket" situation but it just specifies entry is not guaranteed. And then you could win guaranteed tickets through radio and contests and stuff
That was such a blast. I started waiting at 1 and they went on at 9:30 so it was definitely an exhausting day, but it was worth it to see them in a small venue, and just in general. They played Boy Who Could Fly which I wasn't expecting at all and went pretty wild for. Hope the wait until I see them again is not as long this time
they're coming to the city next to mine soon, might catch them... kinda agree with prior comments that this album is a mixed bag, and i welcome artists growing and changing their sound... pass the nirvana is one of their best songs for sure though.
crazy it's been a year already since the jaws of life dropped, to be honest i forgot about it , time flies! also it's a fine album, it didn't top misadventurs for me personally, that album just shreds! i don't see them ever topping it but it was cool to see them in concert again!
I think the album is great, exactly the type of album I would want to hear from a band that is getting older. Paul Meany did a great job of producing it as well. They wrote and recorded it in New Orleans which is pretty cool as well…
i wish it was more shreddy/riffy like misadventures was, that's what i was expecting, i like the new album, but misadventures will always be my favorite , love the lyrics and music.
Misadventures is really special to me but I also love Jaws. Exactly what I want from them at this point.
They did, but just Circles. It was the same set they've been playing with blink, but they added Hold On Till May and Hell Above.
The girl they picked for Hold On Till May was the girl who was on the Selfish Machines album cover too which was kind of awesome. And it did not seem planned at all or anything. She had a cut out of the boy from the cover and was wearing a similar dress.
This record was mostly a flop for me outside of Death, Nirvana, and Emergency Contact. I don’t get how after seven years - this was the best they were able to come up with lol Album cover is cool though.
I honestly don't think they've done anything good since Collide with the Sky which came out coming up to 13 years ago, damn.
