Saw this, the reviewers response was... Stupid.

Everyone always wants to talk about how everyone is allowed to have their own opinion, as if that makes every opinion, no matter how factually inaccurate, valid. If you're going to try to write reviews as a proffesion, then be a professional or don't complain about criticism.

literally cannot wait to have headphones again, I have given this album a criminal lack of listens. fuck having a life I just want to sit in the corner of a room in the foetal position getting real emotional listening to this

i mean it's understandable that people who predominately listen to screaming music might not be into this? i know a lot of people in the local hardcore scene that haven't been that into the band for years even though there's massive respect especially since they're local heroes here. reviews are personal takes on the record as opposed to objective views so i can understand if that bleeds into the writing.

There also is no objectivity in music

I think they were talking about the reviewer being flat out wrong about his vocal range not their overall feelings of the album

I heard Patrick stump say there's no bad music just the wrong audience for music and I think that's accurate

My feelings towards this album are that it makes me feel things and therefore I feel this is good

I really don't care what anybody has to say about an album I like

I knew the one octave thing wasn’t literal I just found it funny that someone took the time to point it out. I actually agree his range is definitely a little less on this album than keep you, but it fits the music here better. I don’t really hear any sections where higher more belted vocals would have improved the songs.

I think it means that as long as they love the record someone else’s negative opinion isn’t going to effect them. Sort of how I feel as well, but I still like defending the art if I have a personal connection to it... in a calm respectful way... and then if I get heated I usually leave the discussion lol

oh i mean i was going back to the posts about the reviewer in general a page or two ago as opposed to the comments, just catching up in here

a lot of times on albums like this on here i feel like any sort of criticism is laughed at when often there are valid reasons for feeling those ways
