Glad i missed that dumpster fie earlier!

The second half of this album is so stellar. Forever Sound through Blue is my favorite stretch since the second half of A Black Mile last year

Woof glad I missed this thread. I'm pretty sure sophos has called me stupid in every thread over my bad opinions but I would never wish anything less than the best for them, and to bring up people's personal lives in a music thread to insult them? weaaaaaaaak

 

To be honest being someone who doesn't know either of them, both of them reacted terribly. Sophos barely said anything that would warrant that type of response from the other poster, but then him coming in and going on that person like that isn't a good look either. Everyone goes through shit, I'm going through shit so are countless others, it doesn't excuse treating others badly.

 

I'd appreciate it if people would stop fucking talking about me

 

There’s a great record to talk about; let’s focus on that

The only complaint I have after my 5th listen is that the guitars sound kind of muddy to me at times. I agree with all the praise of Forever Sound.

 

Blue got me choked up me on a casual first listen when i just caught the last part, then i listen again and really hear these lyrics and i’m done for.

the drum parts on Bay may be the best on the album, and there’s some banging drums on here.

 

Agreed! Let’s refrain from the drama and personal attacks in here.

 

I saw a post before about the Clear Vinyl being delayed by Kings Road, I got a shipping confirmation and it should be here next week. Maybe it was a different variant?

The intro/guitars on bloody sweat remind me of walking into a weird shop with noisy knickknacks and clocks and bells everywhere and I love it.

Fake lighting, Charisma, dry spells, bloody sweet, love on repeat are my current favorites. Bitter Red and Bay of Dreams need more listens.

 

A lot of good little melodies in this, both Kyle’s vocals and the guitars. I recognize this is good but it hasn’t exactly clicked emotionally for me yet. I haven’t sat down with the lyrics yet but I am excited to.

The only real nitpick I have is the drums on Dry Spells are a little too much. The 16th note floor tom (or is it kick?) is just too busy and it drowns out the vocals for me. Could be just the mixing for that song. Otherwise, great mix.

If you are a super sensitive person.
You should probably take some time to self reflect on how you interact with people and how that most likely is leading to responses/reactions that upset you.

But what do I know.

Really enjoying this album. Haven’t fallen in love with Blue yet. But I’m sure I will.
Dry Spells stands out on every spin.

 

Fake Lightning is incredible. Very excited to get to know this album over the next few weeks.

 

And there are multiple posters who would appreciate it if you didn’t act/respond like you were personally attacked every time your opinion falls on the opposite side of someone else’s. Everyone is going through things at different times, stop using that as an excuse to talk to people like shit. Your responses are downright childish fits and anyone defending them because you’ve been a long term poster is being biased.

 

Truly still holds as my favorite off the album.
