Imagine thinking there's any objectivity in music taste lmaooooo

 

the whole middle portion of this record (Bay of Dreams - Forever Sound - Bloody Sweat) are some of the band's best work and of course the closer (Blue) is spectacular

the band's decision to ditch screaming is only reinforced on this record as being the correct direction for the band

 

Charisma might be one of the faster paced tracks on the album - overall I would say the album employs the same type of energy/urgency as they did on Keep You - it's just a little stronger

yeah but maybe more of a happy cry

on the surface it doesn't seem as lyrically devastating as the last three records - like the healing process is happening but I don't know because I don't have the lyrics yet

 

Somehow Drew seems to be highly skilled at hyping me on albums months before they come out haha happens every freakin time!

 

only 60ish more days till this releases - it'll be here before you know it

 

charisma is soooo good wow I didn't get it at first.

I listened for the first few days after charisma came out and then stopped because i didn’t want to burn myself out on it. Told myself I’d only listen once today.. that turned into ~30 times pretty fast

 

Honestly charisma is easily in my top 5 of best songs of the year. If not flat out #1.

 

Video was cool as hell to.

 

So glad to hear you say that the new album is a little stronger than Keep You. I really do trust your music tastes and your overall feel and love for music. Keep You was unbelievably good, if this album is better or even equal to Keep You, Pianos will be one of my favorite bands easily.

i mean at the show. even though they aren't headlining it's still their yearly local holiday show, and they premiered charisma there last year.

 

I hope it's Forever Sound

 

i'll report back if they do. i don't think there will be another show before the release shows (though i think they'll add a baltimore show after this around then) so if there's any time for them to play something new it's tonight
