Phoebe Bridgers is a singer-songwriter from California who has toured with Ryan Adams, Julien Baker, and Conor Oberst. Her debut full-length album is coming out September 22nd via Dead Oceans. It was produced with producer Tony Berg and The Belle Brigade’s Ethan Gruska. The lead single "Motion Sickness" is below. This is probably tied with Julien as my most anticipated the rest of the year.
I think a brief Julien cameo at the 2:28 mark of the video, presumably since this is home footage taken while Phoebe was on tour.
Oh boy, I am very excited for this. Her EP is great and Smoke Signals may be favorite song of the year. This song is wonderful.
Smoke Signals is low key better than either of the 2 new Julien songs snewty. Not sure if I've said that in the slack
I just looked at the tracklisting, and I did not expect Smoke Signals, Killer, and Georgia to be on there. To be honest I'm sort of bummed that I've now heard 4 of the new songs from the album. Hopefully they are rerecorded or reworked versions.
haha maybe you have... Smoke Signals is dope, but so is Red Door. A year where we get both of their albums is a very good year, so I'll take it!
Highly unpopular opinion but I'd pick Bridgers over Baker. Absolutely love them both though, of course.
This is a bridge way too far. Pheobe is incredible but Julien has the potential to be a voice of the generation.

This is what I came in here to post and is the only thing I will ever be able to think about when I see this album title. Psyched for the LP though.
Fell in love with Phoebe and her music when I saw her open for Conor Oberst earlier this year. Smoke Signals is absolutely beautiful and this new track is awesome!
Her stuff is pretty cool. She takes found photographs and paints the ghosts on them. Whole bunch of them on her website: Ghost Photographs
Kinda wishing I hadn't played the shit out of some of those older songs making an appearance on this cd
