“Iris” is my favorite song of all time and, as such, I’ve never cared for any covers of it...until now

It’s the only attempt at the song (including live performances by the Goo Goo Dolls) that solved the problem of what to do with the instrumental break without an orchestra

Well I'm crying at 6 am

 

I like it, but not a huge fan of the melody line being changed in most spots.

 

I'm gonna need more Phoebe + Maggie collabs

cover rules. love that pheebs kinda changed the melody a bit in the first verse, made it sound more like one of her songs

can't stop listening to this. i listened to maggie's record from a couple of years ago or whenever and liked it a bit but it didn't really stick. gonna have to revisit it, her verse on this destroys me.

edit: the album came out last year. fuck off 2020 lol.

 

Yeah I love this. I grew up listening to The Goo Goo Dolls and they were one of my first shows so it’s cool to hear this version. I’ve never been able to get fully into Maggie Rogers but I really hope she does some folky/Americana type stuff in the future, she has a great voice.

 

100%, their voices work so well together

 

I missed it - anywhere I can still hear it?!
