regarding the no phones/pouches thing, honestly- for Phoebe's first shows in a few years (on her own at least), this makes sense. Even back in 2021 at her shows at the Greek in LA, the phone glow is everywhere and with so many younger concertgoers these days having little to no awareness in terms of making their "I gotta get this moment on video of me singing" someone else's problem/distraction, I get it. saw boygenius at a small gig in Pomona during their run and the phones/crowd screaming OVER their voices was a lot. Electric vibe, but makes the actual listening to the artist performing a bit of a challenge when it's like that. coupled with how Phoebe's fans in particular have been ... a bit overboard regarding her recent popup gigs, talking about driving/flying to other states and harassing venue staff about shows that might not even take place, treating these things like so much more of a big, life-changing deal than just "a cool small gig by an artist I like", the vibe is probably a lot to deal with. tldr: no-phones/pouches can be a hassle, sure, but it does have its purpose. IMO. YMMV, etc. pps: Saw Ghost's show in LA that was filmed for that concert movie, phone stuck in pouch made it such a great experience. just fully present and paying attention, no urge to scroll or anything. but I do understand an extra level of annoyance with the pouch system for those with kids at home ...

I was at MSG last night. One of the coolest shows I’ve seen there honestly, just for how stripped back it was. And bc of that, it sounded amazing, her voice was really good. Hutson’s got skills too. All the new songs sounded great. Out of the gate some of them will prob be staples, lot of good one liners in the lyrics. There was one where the chorus is like “Lost Boys” referencing Peter Pan, etc. Only one I felt unsure about it mostly bc of the hook, but rest of song was good
Well that one was my 16 and 17 year olds favorite of the new ones when we saw her haha. My favorite was the one with the big ending that said like Diamond Child or something?
