And people are already lining up outside a Lexington venue, supposedly as early as 3 am, and it’s at cap for the venue. Make it stop.
She just needs to break her social media silence and tell her fans that they ruined the fun. But she hasn’t been speaking out about anything lately, so why start now.
So close, actually yes it’s incredibly shitty she’s chosen not to care about Marshall but also no artist has an obligation to tell their fans to act the way normal people should act already. Two things can be true at the same time
Obviously, she’s free to do whatever she wants. But I think when your fans are doxxing where you’re staying, it’s probably time to say something.
There's definitely an element of crazy fans taking it too far here, but some of the hate in here is misplaced. What's wrong with the website? I'd love to be that excited about something tbh. I'm not saying it's good to harass venues about shows they're probably not even happening, and it's even worse to literally stalk her hotel, but the website strikes me more as playing along with the campaign and I got no problem with that.
I agree I just object to the idea that someone has an obligation to engage with social media in 2026 Again, with a big huge caveat about the Marshall stuff where there certainly is an obligation
Especially because there's a chance it's 4 to 6 months before the album drops since we only know she has like 5 songs
When I was a college kid, I certainly wasn't stalking blink-182's every movement. People are demented.
I think the website would be more fun without the harassment and stalking. I don't think it's her "responsibility" to say anything but I sure do think if I was in her shoes, I would want to. Crazy how many fans are missing the entire point of the word "Punisher" in the context of that album.
I am glad I saw her a few times during the SITA run. Feel like her current fanbase would be unbearable in person
Yeah crowd sucked pretty bad at Pitchfork in 2021. Was booing Big Thief telling them to get off the stage lol
Yeah the funniest part was Pitchfork uses alternating stages lol so it’s not like they were on “Phoebe’s” stage. And they went like two min over anyway lol and it was probably the best festival set I’ve ever seen (BT not Phoebe; Phoebe was good tho)
I was also there but way far back so I didn't witness any of it, but yeah that BT set was great. I had a better time with Phoebe since I was still so hot on Punisher at the time but frankly it's baffling to me that the venn diagram of Adrianne Lenker and Phoebe fans isn't nearly a circle (I know it's got nothing to do with the music itself but still)
Yeah I left Big Thief with a few songs left to get an okayish spot for Phoebe because I was seeing BT the next night again. Still kinda regret it even tho I watched the rest of BT on the side screen lol Phoebe was good! And the whole like storybook set design thing was impressive. I still was super into Punisher at the time too but it felt a little more like checking a box if that makes sense. Big Thief were on fire live at the time tho in a way they kinda haven’t quite gotten back to since
