I'm already over this whole thing. Yeah, I'm paying attention to maybe if she makes it up this way but I can't be bothered to follow along anymore.
I think secret shows are cool, and i think it’s cool to play them in towns that maybe don’t get as many stops from bigger artists (or really, just anywhere outside of New York and LA). But yeah, couldn’t imagine following as closely as people are on Reddit and shit.
Once again, still only looking at that hellmouth subreddit for the artwork clues. This is what’s been put together so far.
Yeah, I don't see an issue with the website shared above. It is quite literally just marking all of the spots that she's already done these pop-ups. That feels like people hating her fans just because it's easy to hate on her fans. I do take issue with people harassing local businesses and allegedly following her tour bus to get to shows that are hours away. These shows are meant to be intimate, in smaller cities, and likely for a local crowd. Respect the way these shows are happening and stop being weird.
Ok, now it loaded... This bridges the gap between fun and creepy. It's cute to plot it, another to forecast where she's going next. It all feeds into the uncomfortable parasocial relationship many of her online fans have with her. They've ruined much of the fun around these shows. I'm in an Illinois chat to keep up on the latest and I'm close to bailing because they are absolutley fucking insane and can't see it.
While I agree most of the time I think this is being overreacted to lol. Looks like a fun project. You’re all a part of this fanbase you’re harping on!
I would not consider myself a part of her fanbase after the past few years lol. I like her songwriting enough to check out whatever she does next. I also think the site would be a lot less weird if it was coming from (almost) any other fanbase
I’m impressed by how much work that website must have taken to create. I do agree her fanbase is psychotic. Like, her going away only fueled them to be crazier with these shows. Weird that we haven’t really heard much about them.
