Boygenius is a bit of a follow-up.

I'm ok with her continuing to be a recluse.

 

I don't think she's the type to rush out product. We'll get the next one when she's fired up to make it.

 

I think she’s been quietly working on it since last year

She mentioned after the Grammy wins last year she was taking the rest of 2024 off and do nothing and to her credit.. she really did took the whole of 2024 off but yeah she's definitely in full writing and recording mode, I read that it took 2 years on and off to make for her to write and record Punisher so I imagine she's properly wants to take her time on the follow up as well.

 

Easily solo

 

Solo but I’d easily go band over the other two solo. And not even for phoebe I just like the songs they’ve brought to the band more than most of what I’ve heard of their respective solo stuff

 

Solo phoebe and Julien are my fav..then BG then solo Lucy…

 

Boygenius > any member’s solo work

 

I’ll take BOCC over all of it. except maybe Stranger in the Alps… but probably still that too.

 

julien solo blows everything else out of the water except for punisher

I’m guessing most people won’t share that opinion.

 

I’ve never really liked Julien’s music very much.

 

BOCC boring

 

BOCC is my favorite single project from the combined Boygenius cinematic universe, but I feel more of that is never going to happen. Solo Phoebe is next, then the first Boygenius EP, then Julien's whole career, then The Record, then Lucy Dacus (just my personal opinion!)

 

Working with Conor Oberst is infinitely preferable to working with fucking Marshall Vore anyway

 

They all mean a lot to me, but probably Phoebe’s the most. “Chinese Satellite” and “Sidelines” the most. Truly hate that Vore was involved with all of that.

 

i don’t think any of them have released a bad record except for maybe the newest lucy album. sorry queen.
