Aren't Julien and Lucy both currently on tour

 

Julien is currently off tour right now. She just finished leg one and leg 2 starts in a couple weeks but Lucy definitely is. She’s in Columbus the day Phoebe is on Kimmel. Maybe it’s a boygenius song but Phoebe just performing it solo?

 

I feel like its more likely that funny feeling if it’s not another punisher cut

She’s just so freaking cool. Everytime I watch her perform I just think about how effortless and chill she is. I’m not a huge female vocalist fan, but I love her.

 

I’m sorry but I have to laugh when people say they “aren’t a female vocalist fan” because like…there are so many female vocalists and it’s not like there’s one universal sound. Those types of comments reek of low key sexism to me. It’s definitely why a lot of female musicians don’t get the same attention their male counterparts get, because of mindsets like that. Maybe I’m reading too into it…but those comments never sit right with me.

My regular music cycle leads me to believe I’m way more into female vocalists.

Also, I am sure ACL have time restrictions that are far bigger than one show, but I’d be so pissed if I was getting ready for ‘I Know The End’ and they took that moment from the crowd

I swear it's like the Rick & Morty of musical fanbases, it's so weird. I was really excited to see her live and the crowd ruined it. It wasn't her fault, she put on a great show, but I would have to give it some thought before seeing her again. It's a bummer.

Not a huge fan of the violin in the Kimmel performance tbh. The dude's definitely talented, but the super fast-paced violin in a mellow, sad song just doesn't pair well to me

 

I think she just wanted to do something a little different for this TV performance since she’s done so many at this point. Plus I’m sure Rob Moose wanted to show off his talents on TV again. It’s honestly crazy how many albums he’s been a part of.

I do prefer the original over this version though.
