Came in here to say that the half smile Phoebe flashes in the “Silk Chiffon” video when she sings “like she wants to try me on” is a total superstar power move. Gonna be bigger than she already is.
I went to the Columbus show on Saturday. The people around me were pretty quiet. There were two people loudly talking during Halloween which sucked but they got the hint with everyone turning around and death glaring them. Show was great, I really enjoyed it. Seeing her again in Cleveland.
For the shows with no announced openers, has Phoebe actually gone on stage at the show start time or does someone unannounced play ahead of her? I have the Philly show tomorrow night. Doors are 6:15 and the show starts at 7:45. Would hope she doesn't actually start until closer to 8:45 since I'm coming from North Jersey and lines are apparently crazy.
Kinda surprised an Irish musician is opening the show and not one of the many great acts based in Philly right now
you’re in for a treat as far as that venue is concerned. Was just there for the first time a few weeks ago and it was awesome. If they sold actual seats & not just GA the lines should move quick & you should be able to move closer with relative ease if there a seat vacancies.
Just seconding how much the Mann rules. The sound is great, the energy is great, and it's easy to get to. Standing over to the left by the trees is the best place, too, because it is sloped a bit and you can see over the crowd.
Thanks for the tips! First time seeing anything there. It’s GA only so my best bet sounds like the tree area. Just hoping I’m not by people talking since others have mentioned that was an issue at previous shows.
MUNA ended up being the main support tonight (unannounced to my knowledge) since they play the same venue tomorrow with Bleachers.
Friend just cancelled on me for the Boston show. Sad day! I’m still going. Just going to feel like a creep riding solo lol. I’ve done it before but it’s always a little awkward when it’s a seated venue
