I laughed out loud at the "hmm" and "huh" following the comment. Those were my exact thoughts.

She’s now on magazine covers for things that I’ve literally never heard of.

 

I remember seeing Phoebe at Center for the Arts Eagle Rock when I went to see Julien Baker. Pretty sure it was before Stranger in the Alps came out. I remember listening to a few songs of hers in the way there so I’d be familiar and now she’s one of my favorite artists. Crazy how much things have changed since then.

 

She didn't win any of her nominations so far. Still a chance for Best New Artist I guess though.

 

Elton John is fetching his knuckle dusters as we speak.

 

She lost all of them.

megan absolutely deserves it. it would be insane if she didn't win.

 

Yeah it would be cool if she won but 1) the winners absolutely deserved it and 2) fuck the Grammys

 

I was pulling for Phoebe in all her categories but none of them went to undeserving people, all strong artists

 

yeah megan was clearly gonna win best new artist unless the voters were out of their minds (wouldn't be the first time!) but was hoping pheebs would pick up another category. ah well. grammys are dumb and she'll get nominated again

I was totally expecting Megan to win Best New Artist and I’m so happy for her. I didn't watch any of the pre-show stuff but yes, award shows are fucked and Phoebe doesn’t need a Grammy to prove she’s amazing.
